This was our first time at The Royal Scam and we will definitely be going back. The service was impeccable, from the moment we walked in the door all of the staff was attentive and super kind. The overall atmosphere was upbeat, and the staff actually seemed to be enjoying themselves. The crab cake appetizers were delicious! My husband had a ribeye special with truffle fries and green beans that was perfect, and my pork with polenta and fresh grilled asparagus was too much to finish...because we had to top it all off with their French pressed coffee and superb bread pudding. Our Argentinian wine was the perfect compliment to it all. Kudos to The Royal Scam, you are doing a fine fine job.

We had the pleasure of dining at The Royal Scam in Mobile, and from the moment we walked in, the service set the tone—warm, attentive, and thoroughly professional. Our server struck the perfect balance between friendly and polished, making us feel both welcomed and well cared for throughout the evening. The food? Absolutely memorable. The double-cooked pork belly was a standout starter—crispy on the outside, tender within, and beautifully complemented by a crisp, tangy apple slaw that added just the right amount of brightness. For the main course, the filet mignon was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and paired with roasted fingerling potatoes and asparagus that were both flavorful and thoughtfully plated. The sesame-crusted halibut was another highlight—resting on a creamy bed of polenta with red bell pepper and other vibrant ingredients I couldn't quite place, but together they created a delicious harmony. The spicy sauce added a bold kick that tied the dish together beautifully. We were lucky to be seated by the window, which offered a lovely view and a cozy ambiance. The only minor drawback was the table's proximity to the entrance—each time the door opened, we caught a brisk gust of air that momentarily disrupted the otherwise serene setting. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to drafts. All in all, The Royal Scam delivered a dining experience that was both elevated and approachable. We'll definitely be back—and maybe request a table a little further from the door next time.

I had the special...it didn't sound like something I'd like but the waiter, Ron, made it sound yummy and that everyone who'd had enjoyed it. The special was fabulous. Ron did a great job knowing what we'd like, being there when we needed him. It was a lovely evening. Wish I'd had room left for the bread pudding...it sounded delicious.

best steaks in Mobile , and we've try ed them all multiple times wait staff was fun and recommendations excellent. always know we will be well satisified looking forward to our next adventure there we highly reccommend this 5 star meal

Food, cocktails, wine, and service were great. Flatware is cheap. Seated next to a table of 5 loudish women enjoying themselves (not bad enough to complain, as restaurant has limited ability to control.) Neither negative enough to knock off points.

The Royal Scam offers casual fine dining at its best in the heart of Downtown Mobile.  The ambience, food and service were all excellent.  This was our first visit, but definitely won't be the last!

The food and the service was awesome  we were able to get a table before our reservation time, because of a cancellation. That was a nice little perk.

Great wait staff and atmosphere. We regularly get the blackened redfish on the menu. It was good, but not great. Something changed. I still recommend this good restaurant!
