This was our first time at The Royal Scam and we will definitely be going back. The service was impeccable, from the moment we walked in the door all of the staff was attentive and super kind. The overall atmosphere was upbeat, and the staff actually seemed to be enjoying themselves. The crab cake appetizers were delicious! My husband had a ribeye special with truffle fries and green beans that was perfect, and my pork with polenta and fresh grilled asparagus was too much to finish...because we had to top it all off with their French pressed coffee and superb bread pudding. Our Argentinian wine was the perfect compliment to it all. Kudos to The Royal Scam, you are doing a fine fine job.
As we every thing now, prices have increased almost invariably. I won't be dining out as much as I used to but will keeping the Royal Scam at the top of my list.

For the main course, the filet mignon was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and paired with roasted fingerling potatoes and asparagus that were both flavorful and thoughtfully plated. The sesame-crusted halibut was another highlight—resting on a creamy bed of polenta with red bell pepper and other vibrant ingredients I couldn't quite place, but together they created a delicious harmony. The spicy sauce added a bold kick that tied the dish together beautifully. We were lucky to be seated by the window, which offered a lovely view and a cozy ambiance. The only minor drawback was the table's proximity to the entrance—each time the door opened, we caught a brisk gust of air that momentarily disrupted the otherwise serene setting. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to drafts. All in all, The Royal Scam delivered a dining experience that was both elevated and approachable. We'll definitely be back—and maybe request a table a little further from the door next time.

I had the special...it didn't sound like something I'd like but the waiter, Ron, made it sound yummy and that everyone who'd had enjoyed it. The special was fabulous. Ron did a great job knowing what we'd like, being there when we needed him. It was a lovely evening. Wish I'd had room left for the bread pudding...it sounded delicious.
