I am not sure of the origin of the name but this restaurant is definitely the real deal. My wife and I had a delightful experience here. The service was very good from a cheerful reception to a friendly and attentive server. The food was also very good, with large portions and a very competitive price. This restaurant was an unexpected treat. We love trying new restaurants and have been to wonderful restaurants around the world. We were surprised to find a fave nestked in a small town. The menu is small and simple, so check it out before you go (there aren't substitutions). Our 7 year old loved it, too. We were pleased with everything. The service, the drinks, food and dessert were on point. When in town, we will definitely be back. Thanks for a fabulous time.

Busy night -- the restaurant was full of diners headed to a concert. Staff, bar, and kitchen served smiles, beverages, and delicious food, sending satisfied diners out the door in time to walk the few blocks to make the curtain time. A great start to a great night out.

Initially it seemed like great choice but as we progressed it was a struggle. The 2 servers we had were great individually but our order got screwed up. All the steaks came out over cooked from rare = medium to medium = well done. The sides were great, but desserts was wrong and we ended up just taking them so they servers didn’t get hit. Definitely not sure I would give a second chance but maybe in a smaller group. We could have sent food back but we were there for fellowship and that is what mattered to us. For the money it was not worth it.

I can't say enough good things about our experience! This was our first time to eat here and I'm so glad we did. Our fellow Mississippian Isaac, took excellent care of us. His wine recommendation was top notch. I had the blackened grouper chowder and it's definitely something they should keep in rotation. Probably the BEST chowder I've ever had. Chicken scallopini and red snapper were both equally amazing. My husband got the flourless chocolate cake with raspberries and devoured it. I got the blueberry cheesecake to go, which was breakfast the next morning, and absolutely the best cheesecake I've ever had. We are there yearly for a getaway and will definitely be back!
Our dinner fabulous; we enjoyed our evening completely. Our server, Brittany, was fantastic! She had excellent suggestions and was attentive. The manager stopped to check in that all was well. We will definitely dine there next time we visit Mobile.

The food was excellent. Our server, Brittany, was amiable and accommodating. We had great gumbo, a refreshing salad, excellent crab cakes and a cooked to order filet. Very friendly staff.
We enjoyed our meal in the courtyard, which was covered and comfortable despite cool temps outside. Erika, our server, deserves special mention as she took excellent care of us. Loved those Gallahger's Solash cocktails too!
As always, our entire evening was amazing! Celebrated a birthday and the staff was so accommodating, not to mention the food was delicious! Always a great experience for any occasion!!!

Really great meal, I did feel like we were a bit rushed out with them closing. It was a bit hard to get desserts, second drink, etc. Food was great, would've liked them to wait and take salads first so it wasn't waiting. Our waiter was super nice and accommodating.

It was a birthday dinner. The waitress was superb. She was attentive but there was no rushing us. We had a great cocktail and shared the crab cakes. Best crab cakes in the region. Dinner was cooked perfectly and the dessert had a candle and a sweet message Outstanding Evening and dining experience.
