This restaurant used to be good a few years ago. Now? It’s jumped the shark, which is sad, because there are no other Greek restaurants in the Midtown area.
The steak bowl I got was terrible on many levels. The rice was undercooked (hard), the meat was overcooked (hard), and the sautéed vegetables were cut into large chunks, — the size you would use if you were planning on boiling & pureeing them to make a soup — not the appropriate size for eating with a fork or spoon.
Even the hummus was unseasoned. How, pray tell, do you mess up hummus?!
I also got the shawarma pita chips - they were overly oily and overcooked (hard).
And finally, the slice of baklava I ordered tasted like it was more than a few days old. I ate one bite, and threw it in the trash.
I love Greek food, but I wouldn’t ever, ever introduce anyone to the cuisine by recommending what was served to me at this restaurant.

The food is good, staff is very friendly just wish every little extra thing wasn’t an extra charge. I can get extra rice or veggies at Chipotle or Moe’s without charge but not here. I can understand charging extra for meat or guacamole but the scoops for the veggies are very small.

Went to this location April 3, 2025 had an issue with the District Manager Daniel. I have contact this location by phone twice nobody will give me corporates number. I filled out the form on the website for someone to please contact me no responds. Today April 7, 2025 I went in the location asked for corporate info the lady told me she could give me Angela the owner's number. She then went to the back I could see her on the phone for 10 mins. She came back to the front now she's giving me attitude and asked if my name is Phyllis. I told her yes, she then tells the DM Daniel, yes it's her. She writes down the corporate email and when I asked her for her name and wrote it on the paper she provided she snatched out my hand and told me she doesn't feel comfortable giving me any of the information. I asked her why would she do that? She then puts Daniel, on speaker phone and tells him I won't leave. I asked Daniel, for the info he told me to get out the store called me a bigot and if he comes up there it's going to be a problem. Amy comes out the store takes a pic of me and my tag and told me she's calling the police. Since I left I have been receiving prank calls on my cellphone and phony emails portraying as corporate. This company is horrible and absolutely racist!

I did an online order on a whim. I had never eaten here before today.. and let me just tell you. That bowl just changed me on a molecular level. I'm gonna be back once a week. Best thing ever. I love u simple Greek, I'm ur biggest fan now. Presentation 10/10 as well. So yum so perfect.

I couldn't have had a better first time experience at Simple Greek. The lamb was amazing and every ingredient tasted fresh. Shannon and Brittany made me feel so welcomed and it was clear they took pride in the job they were doing. I'll definitely be eating there again!
