The whole menu looks amazing but we had the oyster sampler and gumbo along with raw oysters. You can't go wrong. Monterrey and Bienville are great choices for oysters. Gumbo was good as well! We will be coming back. Great place to watch a football game or celebrate a birthday!

I enjoyed eating at Wintzells Oyster House with a few of my church friends. I had a great time with my friends ? and the food was awesome. I had a bowl of gumbo, fish,oysters,fries, and for dessert bread pudding delicious ?. I am looking forward to my next meal.

We went on Saturday night at about 7pm. The parking lot looked full from the road but there were a few spots close to the door. We were seated quickly and our server showed up immediately even though there was a party of 15 and almost every booth was full as well. It took a minute to get my beer, but my wife's drink appeared in about a minute. We ordered the oyster sampler. 4 oysters cooked 4 different ways. They were big and very tasty. This was our 2nd time and I hope to make it back regularly.
Our waitress was very nice but our food was lacking. My fiance's crab claws were dry and had no flavor and was not worth the $32 spent. The food we had did not justify the large bill we had. I usually enjoy myself here, but last night I regret eating here. I felt I could've had better food at home.
