Never ate here but I finally read a great news story! The father and son that shared oysters, the father being 99 and the son 80. After just waking up to read the news and FINALLY, a great news story. Thanks for making my day! I do hope I have the right Wintzell's, and I do hope to make my way from Canada to dine in your restaurant! Happy Birthday Jim!

Had a great Friday lunch at Wintzell's. Seafood gumbo was fantastic. One of us had a lunch shrimp basket with mashed potato and the other had shrimp Poboy with fried okra. We sat at the oyster and service was great. We watched the oysters being grilled.... Lunch with a show. It's remarkable how long they have remained in business... Well deserved from what we experienced today. We'll be back!
Recommend by our hotel this is a must stop when in Mobile, AL. Was a great walk down Dauphine Street and what we found was a very busy Resturant for lunch. We opted to sit at the oyster bar to watch them shuck the oysters. Our appetizer was the chargrilled oysters - wow amazing. Our entrees were Shrimp BLT with fried okra and Cajun Seafood Pasta. Thank goodness it was the lunch portion as it was still large and filling. Multiple thumbs up. Have a wonderful meal here.
