Hubby and I shared a bowl of gumbo, the oyster sampler and half fried/half sauteed crab claws. All were delicious. Our server was helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and charming. We look forward to returning the next time we are in Mobile.
Our server Jamie was on point. Friendly and energetic. Kept my drink full .so much fun to talk to. Had us laughing the whole time. Food was great. Just a wonderful experience all around. If your going ask for Jamie as your server. She won’t disappoint!

A must visit on every trip to Mobile AL. The gumbo is the reason we come. We were seated quickly and our waiter Jose was very attentive throughout our meal. We started with beer and wine with fried green tomatos, that were hot, very tasty,and fried perfectly. We then each had a bowl of gumbo for our meal with a side of fried okra and hush puppies. A very tasty meal indeed. We finished up with a slice of key lime pie. We will return on our next trip. Plenty of parking across the street. This is an eclectic looking place with friendly people. A must visit while in the area.

From out of town and this was the second time to eat there and will choose other places next time. Just OK food. Grilled oysters overpowered with the cheese and could not even taste them. Far too small tomatoes compared to the amount of breading on the fried green tomatoes, and gumbo was just ok. Chilled shrimp were good and service was very good.

Big fan all around -- menu, food, service and atmosphere. Went for lunch on a weekday. They have a streamlined lunch menu. The rice, beans, sausage and chicken dish was great. Another had shrimp on a stick, and another had a fried oyster po'boy. Great sides. Kept our drinks full. Winner!

Great, classic downtown Mobile restaurant near Bienville Square. Everything on their menu is good. They are known for their variety of oysters, but the shrimp, pasta, steak, and burgers are good too. I really like their hushpuppies.

Stumbled across this gem while looking for a different restaurant. Of course we are never going to say no to seafood. We had fried fish, shrimp and oysters , coleslaw, grilled red fish and gumbo. The food was amazing! Hot, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed reading all the funny signs and our server, Mrs Pinky was the sweetest!! She told us that this is the original location and have been serving this community since 1938!! 86 years!! It's easy to see why they are a success. Put this one on your list to stop and try when in Mobile, Al.
We enjoyed everything. Salmon was cooked perfectly, and the redfish was also cooked to perfection, Grilled Oysters were amazing. the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted and taken to our table quickly. Staff was on point and kind. we will be back
Fish and shrimp combo basket was fresh, perfectly cooked and yummy!!!! Fries could be improved but not a deal breaker! See ya real soon!
