As a resident of Montgomery, I’m pretty used to dodgy restaurants but this one may have taken the cake. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and a side of garlic Parmesan wedges. When it came out……it looked like something I could’ve made in my own kitchen, almost like rest stop food. The presentation of everything was terrible and it looked unimaginably bland. Given the prices aren’t bad but the food isn’t good. Disappointed is an understatement.

I didn't stay in any hotel, I ate at the restaurant. The theme was pretty cool (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland), and it's a very warm and welcoming place. Parking isn't the best, but it's not the worst.Nearby activities: Double-A baseball stadium, a few different museums.Walkability: You can walk around, but it's not the best area, kind of sketchy.

Was sat and waited 15 minutes. No one came and asked for our drinks or anything so we left. They seemed glad we did.

They we short staffed when we were there, but they still rocked it with only 3 people. Fun little restaurant with a good bar.

Some of the least friendly staff I came into contact with in all of Montgomery. From not providing silverware to forgotten items, they just do not have it together to survive and thrive. Flatbread had great crust but the lack of any toppings on top made it unappetizing and underwhelming. There are other, friendlier and better options across the downtown area. Skip this one.

Jacob was our server on a busy Sunday evening. He was amazing. Friendly, funny and hard working. They were short staffed that evening (he was the only server, there was one bar tender and one cook on duty) and he managed it gracefully while keeping his cool and making sure we got great food and service. I would recommend it just to have him again! Hope he sees this! We were the table full of gals who you met in the street to return a hair clip. Thanks for making our dinner great!

On a Saturday evening in downtown Montgomery to enjoy a concert. Several local eateries were packed with over an hour wait. The 79A restaurant is in the old Mellow Mushroom location and was not busy. We decided to take a chance. We ordered beef nachos for an appetizer and each of us had a CBD cheeseburger that came with potato wedges. The appetizer was served promptly and the cheeseburgers were excellent as were the potato wedges. We had a very nice waiter named Jacob that was working several tables. He was personable and seemed to be handling several tables well. We will definitely come back. If you are coming to MPAC for a concert, stop by 79A. You won’t be disappointed.

On a Thursday night, a friend and I were trudging around downtown, searching for a place to escape the busy streets after a disappointing night and indifferent dining experience at a nearby restaurant. After searching for some time, we realized most of the surrounding businesses were either bars, spirit shops, or expensive enough to break our savings. So, after seeing 79A from afar and ensuring it was open, we decided to try it out (at the time, we hadn't realized how close to closing it was). Our time there made anything we previously experienced that night worth it. The kafkaesque and dreamlike inspiration the restaurant pulled from Alice in Wonderland made our dining feel like a nostalgic resting place, and the music played only made it better. As we were seated by Kye ( sorry if I misspelled your name! ), it turned out they'd had a busy day, so a good amount of food items were unavailable; however, she was incredibly nice and let us know what could be offered. My friend and I wanted to keep it simple, so we decided on ice cream, which had a nice homemade taste! Aside from the food and ambiance, Kye truly made our night and time at 79A a good one to end on. Despite the kitchen closing soon, she was patient with us whilst staying efficient. My friend and I were happiest because she made us feel welcome and even sat down to talk to us for a bit! She was genuine and the most wonderful -- our interaction alone made us realize that the night didn't end up being so bad after all.

The young lady who helped us was very nice. The food was awful. The potato wedges were all hard in the middle. The grilled chicken is very dry in the middle and still cold.We sent back 4 dishes. We were very disappointed and should have trusted the bad reviews.

Located in downtown Montgomery where Mellow Mushroom used to be at the corner of Commerce and Bibb, this is a great place to grab a bite and a drink before a show at the MPAC, or just hang out with friends. Service was quick and efficient and the draft beer selection is about 30 taps deep. Happy hour specials get you a discount on beer and a few appetizers like nachos and bruchetta. Menu is mostly flatbread pizzas, burgers, salads etc.Worth a visit.
