“It’s only THE BEST Mexican Restaurant in Montgomery. I’m Brazilian and I wasn’t a fan of Mexican food until I got to SOL. I’ve been going there for almost an year, 2-4 times a week. YES, that much! The pollo loco is a must try. I won’t even start talking about the cheese dip, cause it’s PERFECT! The chips always get to our table warm! The staff is great! The servers are wonderful and if you can, ask for Jack (you won’t regret) he is the best! I simply LOVE this place!”

In addition to coffee, we ordered the Martha’s Melt, Avocado Toast, and Multi Berry Smoothie. We enjoyed our food and beverage as much as we enjoyed the cafe’s ambiance and vibe. The owner/architect brilliantly found a way to honor the building’s bank roots within a sleek, modern design. I would visit again and again if I am ever in Montgomery. All of the sandwiches and featured breakfasts looked delicious.”

This is tied for best location in Montgomery with the one on S. Bypass & I-65 in my experience. Others in Montgomery have generally been excellent over the years as well.

This morning (0122 CST) Jess was an excellent waitress, despite being overworked. True professional, just like yhe rest that I have envountered. Kenneth James rocked the grill.

“Scott Street Deli June 19, 2023 I was cruising Facebook this morning and saw a posting that Scott Street Deli would be open today. What a great idea for a Monday lunch. When Mrs. Bunny worked downtown on Dexter Avenue we’d make an occasional lunch trip to Scott Street Deli for some of their tasty sandwiches. She retired last July so we don’t have the need to travel to downtown Montgomery as much. This being a federal holiday for Juneteenth I guessed that there would be less overall lunch traffic, so we left sunny rainy Mitylene and drove to Scott Street for lunch. The rain got heavier as we parked and headed inside the Deli. It’s OK… we’ll dry out. I got in Line 1 and placed our order with the Sandwich Artist… a large Frencheletta for me, a regular Club for Mrs. Bunny. While sandwiches were being made I picked up Chips and Sodas for us and paid Kathy (the owner) for our meal. I secured a table and waited for Mrs. Bunny to arrive with our sandwiches. My Frencheletta was large and meaty and quite a handful to navigate. Mrs. Bunny enjoyed her Club. There are many sandwiches on the menu but somehow we always gravitate to the Frencheletta and Club. Creatures of habit we are. I promise I’ll try something new next visit. As they say, “so many sandwiches, so little time”. As we sat there in-house and to-go orders came and went. It was a busy place this afternoon. We thanked Kathy for a great meal and headed out before the rains got heavier. Scott Street Deli at 412 Scott Street in downtown Montgomery is open weekdays from 9:45am to 2:30pm. You can order for takeout at 334/264-9415 or on their website at www.ScottStreetDeli.com. “My wife and I ate here for the 1st time and the pizza was some of the best we have ever eaten , we had a little issue with the length of time it took but the waitress came and told us that she had made a mistake and had not put the order in as fast as she should have , I loved her honesty about the issue so she gets a pass on that , she was also very busy so I can see how the mistake could happen , the restaurant management gave us a discount without us having to ask so kudos to them also , we will be going back soon and enjoying another great meal”

“It was really busy but the employees took their name and made sure my order was accurate and prepared correctly. Ordering for 5 people can be hard sometimes. I felt like the only customer that mattered at the time from the first person that started the food to the cashier.
The tables were clean and the food was amazing and the bowl was a generous helping
