The restaurant is absolutely charming—like stepping into a cozy little hole-in-the-wall French café you’d expect to find in France. Because my youngest is autistic and doesn’t do well with crowds, we booked an early reservation. Our server was outstanding—exceptionally patient with my son and all his unique requests. That alone made the evening special. We started with the cheese board, tuna dip, mac & cheese, and escargot. What impressed me most was that our server didn’t rush us—she let us finish the starters before taking our entrée orders. I wish more places did this, since it gives you a chance to gauge how full you are before moving on. The French onion soup was a standout and an absolute must-try—it was among the best I’ve ever had. For entrées, we ordered the Croque Madame, the flounder, and the burger frites. Everything was cooked to order and beyond delicious. We finished with the crème brûlée, which was heavenly. The cost came to about $60 per person, but we ordered a lot since it was a special celebration, and it felt worth every penny. The restaurant is small and very popular—by the time we left, there were lines forming and the outdoor seating was already filling up. My advice: make reservations if you plan to go on a weekend and be adventurous with your choices—the menu is full of gems. We will definitely be returning!”

“Went for dinner a few nights ago at around 8, I had a long day + their salad bar was running thru my mind all day. Placed our order and was then invited by our waiter to go over to the salad bar. It was dark, dismal & closed. My heart sank to the depths of my soul. The waiter apologized for unknowingly advising us to the packed up salad bar, saying he’d bring salads out. Wow, did he bring the salads!! This waiter not only brought out salads, but he created a gorgeous spread of all the sides, veggies, eggs and toppings. I couldn’t believe it, he hit a home run and a grand slam in customer service and for that I recommend Cork & Cleaver! Clearly they take care of their customers!! Exceptional Service! A++”

In addition to coffee, we ordered the Martha’s Melt, Avocado Toast, and Multi Berry Smoothie. We enjoyed our food and beverage as much as we enjoyed the cafe’s ambiance and vibe. The owner/architect brilliantly found a way to honor the building’s bank roots within a sleek, modern design. I would visit again and again if I am ever in Montgomery. All of the sandwiches and featured breakfasts looked delicious.”

“We have stayed multiple times at the Wind Creek Montgomery Casino and Hotel. We have always been treated very well. First, I would like to give high kudos to Anthony at the front desk. He has always accommodated us as though we were of the utmost importance. Then as we ate dinner at BB Kings, for two nights, we had an outstanding waitress, Zeanita. I have yet to have anything there that wasn’t good. (Nachos, loaded tater tots, pulled pork, fried catfish, and amazing collard greens) I would also like to recognize, Shannon Gibson, Executive Host with the most. He introduced himself to me and recognized and spoke to me many times throughout the casino. I greatly appreciate that. On my first visit, the dining room and bar were full, so the host took my number and called me when a table became available. I enjoyed the grilled lamb small plate on that visit. “I usually get to-go orders, but the restaurant has always been clean and had acceptable service even when packed. I have never had a bad meal here, even if I didn't particularly care for the dish. I recommend cumin beef, the tofu with crispy bean blend, the pork chop plate, and the spicy beef tendon/pigs ear. When they did hotpot in the winter, I really enjoyed it.

As far as the grocery store goes, the prices have gotten a bit high and the stock of certain specialty items is shrinking. But this is still the main grocery store in town for key Chinese and Southeast Asian ingredients. Sometimes you may be lucky and they may have homemade items for sale, like chili oil. I also appreciate the rotating fruit selection, like kumquat and Korean pear.”

“This is my first time eating Mongolian food, so I ordered the stir fry to be safe. It looked delicious, so I couldn't wait to taste it. We got ours to go, so I didn't eat it until I got home. I was glad however, because it was truly very bland. It didn't taste bad at all, it just didn't have much flavor. So when I got home I dressed it up with some of my favorite Asian sauces. The positive is, there was enough food in that container to feed me four times! And I did eat it four times over 3 days.The service was fantastic as well. The couple that was coming out when we were going in, told us how wonderful the food was. I believe it is just not what I'm used to. When we looked at the buffet, it was all raw food, and you would tell them what you wanted. I don't really have an eye for that, so I just ordered off the menu. Everyone seem to be enjoying their food. Like I said, I'm sure it's just me.”

We were greeted warmly. They were efficient in taking our orders and everybody had hot, freshly prepared food in less than 20 minutes. I had the catfish fillet dinner. It was fried perfectly. I wish more places did this, since it gives you a chance to gauge how full you are before moving on. The French onion soup was a standout and an absolute must-try—it was among the best I’ve ever had. For entrées, we ordered the Croque Madame, the flounder, and the burger frites. Everything was cooked to order and beyond delicious. We finished with the crème brûlée, which was heavenly. The cost came to about $60 per person, but we ordered a lot since it was a special celebration, and it felt worth every penny. The restaurant is small and very popular—by the time we left, there were lines forming and the outdoor seating was already filling up. My advice: make reservations if you plan to go on a weekend and be adventurous with your choices—the menu is full of gems. We will definitely be returning!”

“In Montgomery for a work trip and had read enough good reviews about Dreamland BBQ that I figured I needed to give it a try. Ribs are always one of my favorites, so that was an easy choice.

The restaurant is in an old brick building with a lot of character, and the inside was just as interesting. My waitress was extremely friendly and even brought me a couple of generous beer samples to help me decide what I wanted.

The food definitely lived up to the reviews. The ribs were excellent, service was great, and I’d gladly come back again the next time I’m in Montgomery.”

Soft drinks machines were not monitored...both machines dispensed water instead of lemonade.

The food doesn't just taste fresh; it tastes like home cooking in the best way possible. From the homemade corn tortillas and chips to the perfectly seasoned meats, I wanted more after every bite. And if you like a real kick, the salsa rojo with the tacos balances the heat with awesome flavor. To cool down the heat, the piña agua fresca is the ultimate refresher, and every drink needs to be served in that size of cup!
I made the mistake of ordering to-go this time, but even in a container, the quality was superb. Next time, I’m definitely sitting down to soak in the music and take a stroll through the tienda. Don’t be like me and wait—just go!”

“We visited this place while traveling, and the food definitely did not disappoint. The Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, and Tangsuyuk were all fantastic, and it was a huge hit with the kids as well.
​However, the indoor temperature was very uncomfortable. It was so hot inside that we were sweating throughout our entire meal. The food easily deserves 5 stars, but the lack of proper AC made the dining experience tough. I really hope they improve the ventilation or air conditioning soon because the kitchen serves truly great food!”

“My mom asked me to take her to this place b/c she said she didn’t feel comfortable going by herself. The gas station connected to it, overshadowed the restaurant presence but you can find it if you know what you are looking for. Definitely recommend going in the day if you aren’t familiar with the area. We got the ten piece special (lemon pepper) and ten piece only (chezzi & ghost pepper flavors) six piece one (ghost). Wife like lemon pepper flavor and chezzi is a special blend of seasoning that work well for a wing sauce. The ghost is no joke. The wings themselves may not have been marinated so I think the sauces carry the flavor. With that being said the ghost wings will definitely test your taste buds and make you question your life choices. Great experience and will be back to try spicy bbq and mango habanero!”

It is nice alternative to coffee, especially now that it is feeling like fall. The atmosphere inside is cute and lively and always clean!
