“We were in Montgomery with as a group of 25 to visit the museums in the Equal Justice Initiative. We called Chandler’s about 10 minutes before we arrived to ask if they could serve our group. We were greeted warmly. They were efficient in taking our orders and everybody had hot, freshly prepared food in less than 20 minutes. I had the catfish fillet dinner. It was fried perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely visit again whenever I return to Montgomery.“

“This place is smacks so hard, great soul food, great, kind and generous people, great prices. Stopped in here on a road trip with my daughter and left with so much food for 25$ we didn't know what to do with. Fried chicken, rice, mac n cheese, turnip, cornbread, all of it was just so good.“

“We had our school group stop here on our Civil Rights trip to Montgomery. They were so welcoming to all of us after a long day of touring! The food was so delicious, the kids were going back for more! They also let all the kids play their music and just relax and enjoy our time in the space. “I ordered the fried chicken, greens, rice and gravy, and a sweet tea, and every part of the meal tasted like the home‑cooked food I’ve been missing. I’m lactose intolerant, and the staff was incredibly kind and walked me through all the dairy‑free options without hesitation. I even grabbed a sweet potato pie to take back home to Washington because everything was that good. The food was comforting, the service was thoughtful, and the whole experience left me feeling genuinely good inside. This is the kind of place I’ll look forward to visiting again!“

“Yesterday was my first time attending the local family owned restaurant. They were courteous, gave me sizable portions and the food was absolutely delicious. I had beef tips over mashed potatoes, green beans and mac. It is rare that I find a restaurant that serves good mac & cheese. They just gained a repeat customer!!!“

“Great southern soul food. Usually I don’t like buffets, but this place is very sanitary. They have gloves for customers to use when getting food and someone is always watching the food. Truly enjoyed my hot fried and baked chicken, collards, fried okra, yams, cornbread, Lima beans and banana pudding. I ate all my heart desired. They had other options as well. Also a full service salad bar. Of course southern sweet tea. You will not be disappointed!“
