“Went for dinner a few nights ago at around 8, I had a long day + their salad bar was running thru my mind all day. Placed our order and was then invited by our waiter to go over to the salad bar. It was dark, dismal & closed. My heart sank to the depths of my soul. The waiter apologized for unknowingly advising us to the packed up salad bar, saying he’d bring salads out. Wow, did he bring the salads!! This waiter not only brought out salads, but he created a gorgeous spread of all the sides, veggies, eggs and toppings. I couldn’t believe it, he hit a home run and a grand slam in customer service and for that I recommend Cork & Cleaver! Clearly they take care of their customers!! Exceptional Service! A++“

“Saturday night we dined (after a rather lengthy wait). We understood, it was Saturday night after all, but early in the evening. We were a party of 6 celebrating my 92nd birthday. We ordered and received our salads in a timely manner. The first 3 orders were served and then a terrific crash. Turned out it my 2 daughters and my dinners. The manager came made his apologies and indicated there would be an adjustment to compensate for our wait, by the time our food arrived the rest of our party had nearly finished their meal. We spent a lot of money and I feel some sort of compensation should have been offered. I understand accidents happen but I felt rushed after the delay,. Just thought you should know. Our server was excellent, no fault with her, sorry didn't get her name.“

I’m lactose intolerant, and the staff was incredibly kind and walked me through all the dairy‑free options without hesitation. I even grabbed a sweet potato pie to take back home to Washington because everything was that good. 🍔 We waited in the car as they cook your food fresh and then your buzzer will go off when it’s ready! Plenty of napkins and condiments and the burgers and fries were SUPER flavorful and cooked perfectly!

🍔 The only downside is that we had a homeless person literally knock on our car window while waiting. Luckily our family ended up having a great conversation with the woman and gave her a few dollars which she was thankful for and we were thankful for her too!“

The beef and broccoli was so tender and fresh. Broccoli so green! The general tso chicken was not too spicy.

“We walked into our usual El Taco Shoppe and there was a really long line to order so we walked out and tried someplace new! It was after church on Sunday and a lot of families were there enjoying a Sunday lunch. Our server was friendly and attentive. Food came in an expected speed. When we ordered queso the waiter asked if we wanted to include jalapeños. Yes, please! Never been asked that before elsewhere. The atmosphere is colorful with lots of booths. The manager made the extra effort as we were walking out to even make sure we had a bag for our leftovers“

“Waiting for Family Day at Maxwell Air Force Base we had some down time and what better way to kill time than to have some authentic southern comforting BBQ from one of Bama's best known spots

Everyone went with something different so we had a good samples across the board and it did not miss!

The ribs were larger than expected with a tangy vinegar based sauce that made them delicious flavorful. The smoked sausage was just as good without being too dry. The chicken was juicy and we'll shredded, and the spicy rib wrap was well balanced with the portions that had some heat to the coleslaw due to jalapenos on it

The sides were very good with the beans being the best option. The mac and cheese should have been the hero and while they were cheesy they lacked that favor you'd expected from a BBQ joint. The potato salad was decent, but nothing to write home about. Honestly the fried okra was surprisingly the second best as the sweet coleslaw underperformed

Overall, the meats made the trip worth it, the vibe was amazing as it had that laid back feel and the service was great! They don't sell hard liquor so went with beer, but the selections we limited. I'd still recommend trying them out if you are ever in town. Cool spot that makes you feel like you're in the South!“

“Great diner experience. Order queso with our chips and salsa. The salsa queso both delicious. Had the two beef enchiladas dinner with rice and refried beans. The sauce in the enchiladas was amazing. The staff was very polite and courteous. Would definitely return to try other items on the menus“
