The food was so good it brought a tear to my eye!
amazing tacos, we stopped in on a road trip from northern Illinois. tacos amazing, pineapple and melon water both amazing. Thank God we found this place 💕 the other local food seems a bit meh otherwise
The food is really authentic and fantastic. Pretty open place, cafeteria style seating. Staff is very friendly. One of my top 3 Mexican places.

Taquería El Campesino serves authentic Mexican dishes with quick and friendly service. The el pastor tacos and red habanero sauce are phenomenal, and the chorizo quesadilla and salsas are mejor. The house and Verde salsa are delicious, and the asada tacos and sopes hit the spot. The quesabirria tacos are fantastic, full of meat and cheese with a crispy fried shell. The food is delicious with a feel of stepping into Mexico. Even during building renovations, the food truck offers great value. The entree portions are hardy, though some feel the tacos could be a little bigger for the price. Don't let the front door deter you—this spot is worth checking out.
