“This Place is So Rich of Black History. Loved the Food. I had Baked Turkey and dressing, Swai Fish, Mac and cheese, collard greens, and some good Ole Cornbread. All I can say is Somebody Grandma lost her Leg, arms, and Foot GONE!!!!! AKA EXCELLENT FOOD. WILL BE BACK. THEY HAVE SOMETHING FOR EVERYDAY OF THE WEEK.“

“Service was good, efficient, and timely, we were there at lunch time on a Sunday. It was very crowded and we had to wait for a table large enough for our crowd (12). Food was good and served hot. Staff was friendly, kind and smiling, which goes a long way with me. (Attitude)is important.
All in all a pleasant experience.“

“I ordered the fried chicken, greens, rice and gravy, and a sweet tea, and every part of the meal tasted like the home‑cooked food I’ve been missing. I’m lactose intolerant, and the staff was incredibly kind and walked me through all the dairy‑free options without hesitation. I even grabbed a sweet potato pie to take back home to Washington because everything was that good. The food was comforting, the service was thoughtful, and the whole experience left me feeling genuinely good inside. This is the kind of place I’ll look forward to visiting again!“

“the best steak and ribeye we have ever had. it was the juiciest perfectly cooked steaks. I'm going to spend the rest of my life chasing the high that I got from eating that steak... best anniversary meal ever. The sauce that comes with the deep fried pearl onions is fiery hot but their ranch is fantastic“

“Sommers Place is my favorite place to eat be it lunch or dinner. The staff there very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and always taste the same. Ice tea is also good. I took my brother and dad there and they love it also. I give them a 5.“

“This was wonderful…the food, the service, the friendly people…I just can’t say enough about how much we loved this restaurant. Well we ate 3 of our 6 meals here. We would have eaten more but we ate two of our 6 at the Riverwalk Stadium during baseball games and another before we found the place. Love your Cafe! Oh and also the best sweet tea of my 61 years!“

“🍔 Stopped to get THE BEST burger in BAMA on the way home from the beach.
🍔 The woman working was friendly and patient when we asked a few questions about the menu.
🍔 We waited in the car as they cook your food fresh and then your buzzer will go off when it’s ready! Plenty of napkins and condiments and the burgers and fries were SUPER flavorful and cooked perfectly!
🍔 The only downside is that we had a homeless person literally knock on our car window while waiting. Luckily our family ended up having a great conversation with the woman and gave her a few dollars which she was thankful for and we were thankful for her too!“

“We ordered for the first timejust to try some place new. Seriously glad we did!T-bone steak for $18.99,I was apprehensive. Steak was very flavorful and tender. The hotdogs were huge anddelicious! The bake potato was a masterpiece and weighed like 5 pounds. Everything we ordered was awesome. We will order from here again!“

“The portions here are getting smaller and smaller. It was NOT worth the half filled cups of sides and maybe 6 ounces of meat that we got for $11.99. My meat and okra were cold. The place was dirty with trash all over the floor, the tables were so sticky that our napkins stuck to the table. Also, Do not go here to eat if your group is more than six people! You cant slide tables together so your party can sit together. You can't slide even a chair over to sit at the end of a table. You have to decide how to spilt up and sit at different tables even if it is for ONE single person that wont fit!! Lady told us we couldn't move a chair... that's ok, we wont eat here again.“

From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Pam was attentive, kind, and incredibly efficient—she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made sure everything was just right.
