“I finally got around to eating at the Wharf today, I had the honey glazed pecan chicken and smoked gouda cheese grits and my friend had a Greek salad and the food was awesome and the staff was super friendly and accommodating and the prices were great, we will definitely be back to try some of the other items on the menu. So refreshing to find a restaurant of such high quality and variety!!”

“Traveled through downtown Wetumpka before a HS wrestling tournament and was on the hunt for a hotdog. Googled “best hot dog near me” and it took us right to grumpy dogs! No lies detected! Delicious assortment of hot dogs with something for everyone. Quaint, inexpensive, and tasty! 10/10 *Ordered chili cheese dogs and chicagos*”

“A-mazing! We were greeted at the door. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient and the meal was delicious. My wife and I had one of the lunch specials. The food was hot and fresh and the portions were generous. We can not wait to come back!”

“Food: Outstanding. It is not a cheap sandwich but it'll fill you up and it is so good! The potato salad and corn salad are both really good too. Didn't try a cold sandwich, that's on you. They'll tell you they are known for their brisket, they should be. The roast beef is fantastic hot too. Only gripe is they use canned sodas instead of fountain drinks. Not worth counting off for.

Service was quick and efficient with a modern point of sale system.

Atmosphere was a 15/5. This place is dripping with charm. If the food wasnt so good I would say the atmosphere was too good for a deli.”

“I visited this bakery today for the first time and purchased the red velvet cupcake. I was told it’s their Grandmother’s recipe and I’ll just say Grandma knew what she was doing😋. The cupcake was moist and the cream cheese frosting was very delicious. I enjoyed it and look forward to more visits whenever I’m over this way”

Paula, the bartender at Fire, really makes you feel welcome and she is the main reason we keep going back so often…and we do go often, at least twice a week. Lol! “I love galato. I walked up to their stand was reading the menu of flavors and apparently my face said it all. I was so shocked and excited about all the flavors and was struggling to choose. one of the ladies asked me what the awe look was for. I said I can't choose so she let me sample the ones I was really debating about. The samples made it even harder to decide. They were all so good. she offered to mix the flavors for me so I could have all 3. I opted to get just 2 flavors and was definitely not disappointed. Hope to see this place more often so I can try more flavors. Great personalities from staff, AMAZING FLAVORS of galato, great portion to price. Thank you so much!”

The food is really good. Its simple southern barbecue that leaves you feeling satisfied. Try the banana pudding. Its always good.

The atmosphere is crowded. That is its one drawback. From the difficult access from the road, to the small tight parking lot and the cramped tables inside you might feel squeezed in. Even a party of two can sometimes feel like the next table of diners are sitting right in their lap.

We recommend it as its one of the few good restaurants in town and its not a fast food chain. You'll feel welcome and fed. Make sure you like the people around you. They will be close.”
