“I stopped by Applebee's today, where I'm a regular. Our waiter, Ty, greeted me warmly, but his interactions seemed insincere. After ordering my Margarita and food, I requested an extra cup of ranch dressing, which Ty said would cost an additional 25 cents.
When he delivered my drink and food, he was polite, but what caught my attention was how he treated other customers differently.
Later, a couple came in, and Ty greeted them similarly. The man ordered ribs with ranch dressing, and Ty not only brought them an extra cup of ranch without charge but also offered to upgrade it for 25 cents. This stood out to me because I had been charged for the same request earlier.
What really took the cake was when he started discussing another family that had left him a $1 tip, saying something about them being broke. He shared this with a coworker in a way that seemed dismissive and judgmental.
To make matters worse, he also made some concerning comments about the president and the LGBTQ+ community while interacting with customers.
As a customer, I felt that Ty's service and behavior were unprofessional and inconsistent, especially given the difference in how he handled our requests.“
“Classic bar experience. We just order appetizers and drinks. The waitress was really nice and helped switch the channels to the game we wanted to watch. I only give it a 4 because the light fixtures were drop down and they all sit right in front of the TVs, so it can be annoying to watch the game depending on where you sit.“
“Zippy and the manager Stanley were absolutely phenomenal. We came in when it was clear they were in the weeds. We were already sitting at the bar when Stanley came in and from the moment he walked in - he was there to work - running food, taking orders, helping clean tables. I even heard him tell another server "we have a nice family of four at the front, please get them seated." So professional, cool, calm and collected. Zippy was our bartender and was also waiting several tables. She was able to offer everyone exceptional service and kept a positive attitude with the patrons. Exceptional employees, very impressed.“
