Stay away from this corrupt government.
Crime statistics are down because they are handing the calls off the ALEA and the county, so they don’t go one the city’s statistics. Even if they do catch someone that committed a crime they are right back on the streets the next day.
Terrible organization very bad management
For the past 5 years+ this city has been run into the ground. Mayor Steven Reed has allowed our police department to deplete at a rate I've only witnessed under his leadership. A city that requires around 500 officers has about 250...maybe. Reed has broken state laws to further his own agenda but allows criminality to persist because it is politically inconvenient to push law and order.
