We visited the restaurant yesterday around noon. We were sat immediately and the server, Clayton, came over to take our drink order and we were ready to place our food order as well. My husband order the pawpaw plate and I just had eggs over medium with toast. While waiting for our food, Clayton bought over our drinks and we sat and watched the flow of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the kitchen was in slow motion because it took forever for us to receive our food. As I was people watching, I noticed a lady standing near the food area with her hands in her pockets, on her phone, talking to the servers so I ask who she was and she, Heather, was the manager. I found that hard to believe because I have been in hospitality for over 20 years and to watch her do nothing to assist in her restaurant was very upsetting. Not having control of the servers walking around with personal drinks on the floor, eating in plain sight and not touching the tables to make sure they are all right. Well, I talk it she didn't do it cause she knew that things were not going alright because it took over an hour for me and husband to receive our food. During the whole time, she stood in the same area doing nothing to help. If you know that the flow of your establishment is going to be blowed, staff for it. Jump in there and take care of your customers. I can say myself, I am done with The Bubbly Hen.

Only come if you have an hour to wait on an omelet, grits, and toast that was “sent to the wrong table” and it wasn’t even packed. The food isn’t worth the time wasted on lack of attention and service. I sat at the bar alone which should be quick. Terrible experience. I won’t be back.

Service was one of the worst experiences we have had dining out and we are very very patient people. Not just the waitress but the kitchen was insanely slow for very basic food. My son's order was wrong but she never came back to check on us. Food was mediocre. Never even attempted to refill. Only came back to bring the check.

Second time going to The Bubbly Hen. The food was good (can't go wrong with the crab Benedict) and the service was great too.

We have been here about 39 minutes without receiving any food but every one around us who came in after us has food. We order simple things like shrimp and grits and bacon eggs and hash browns

The food was pretty good. The french toast was burnt on the top of the loaf. Also, the menu said there's a 3.5% discount for paying cash, which was not automatically applied.
Bravo!!! Great Taste, Fresh Ingredients, Hot and Friendly Service👌🎯

Never got our food. Left after an hour and three minutes. Husband had given himself insulin in preparation to eat so he went hypoglycemic while we continued to wait. Diabetics need a 20-30 minute window after they give themselves a shot. After that, if they don’t eat, their blood sugar level dips, and it can get dangerously low. Most of the time it’s not an issue as in a normal restaurant the food comes out in a reasonable time. I luckily had some airplane cookies I found in my purse after we left so he wouldn’t pass out. Went to First Watch instead and they served us immediately. Would recommend Bubbly Hen to not seat people outside if they can’t serve them. It’s not hard to tell people there’s a long wait so they can decide if that wait is something they can do. One positive: the coffee was good.

Waited for an hour and three minutes and never got our food. Had to leave. Husband is diabetic and gave himself insulin, so we couldn’t wait any longer or he was going to get even more hypoglycemic. Went to First Watch and got served immediately.
The only positive thing I can say is the coffee was good.

GRIFFIN. was an amazing host/server, the food was very nicely plated hot and fresh! Shrimp and grits were great!
This was our first time eating here. Daena was a top notch server. Gave us great insight into the menu and was responsive to our needs. Shrimp and Grits were delicious. Very well seasoned and I would definitely get it again. The Bill-E-Bacon with the peach habanero jam 👌🏾 chefs kiss. I'm not a coffee drinker but did try the Ice Sugga Momma and it was sweet and worth the try.

Came highly recommended, but so very disappointed. Potatoes were mushy, chicken was so overcooked and dry. Biscuit was rock hard. Would not go back for that.
