Everything I ordered was as it should be and tasty. The gumbo is a blonde roux with lots of different seafood in it and sausage. It was very good. The only thing that I dinged the food for was that my catfish the crust of fell off of it still extremely good though but I like my crust on it, lol

Had been here previously and food was great. This time we weren’t even able to get food other than a side salad at the beginning. Service sucked so bad. We tried ordering but server didn’t want to take our order at that time. Then she wouldn’t come back to the table. We had to go up to the front to get our own drink refills. Then we had to go back up to get and pay our check. We told the owner and all he told my husband was well you should have said something. Well we did several times but no one cared. Not sure why people keep going back being treated like they don’t matter. I refuse to go back and have told so many friend and family to stay away from here.

Visiting from North Carolina 😀 to visit the Legacy Museum but had to make a stop at Capitol Oyster Bar, 2nd time visiting. EVERYTHING is AWESOME 👌🏽, from the food & and surrounding on the Alabama river. Perfect spot to sit outside & enjoy your dinner with a view. Plenty of food giving where you will need a takeout box. Get there early, will get crowded. Until next time ☺️

First time eating there the food was good service was good. Need to remodel the place inside and outside. It was a cat walking around on the patio area I think that was unsanitary. A hole in the wall and I think the waitress that have long hair should put it up in a ponytail.

We were in town on business and came here after it was suggested by people who work at Don Ducan's All American Tire. I can tell you we were not disappointed! Melanie was our server who did an excellent job and had a great personality! We started with a dozen oysters on the half shell, and then I ordered the grilled Amberjack with the crawdad sauce on the side with rice pilaf and cheese grits. It came with two hushpuppies as well. We left stuffed, not able to finish everything. The restaurant had plenty of charm and a great view of the river. Capitol Oyster Bar is a must-have when in the area.
