Great food, cocktails, service, and ambiance! The salmon skin was super crispy, the lamb melts in your mouth, and each one of us loved our drinks. I got the Belladonna and really recommend it for anyone who likes mules.

I was dining solo and sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly and professional. I had the braised short ribs which was a healthy portion of tender, well seasoned beef. I ate all of eat. Periodt.

The atmosphere was great and the service was over the top. One of the servers took the time to sing. You’re so beautiful to me for my wife. Overall, that was a great evening. Unfortunately, the food was not up to the hype that I have been given. I would say it was an OK meal but nothing that was not my socks off. We may go back again, but not for sure.

Read this review before going. Serious ethical, issue with this restaurant.

This review has nothing to do with the food, it has to do with an unethical practice at the restaurant. the food was actually very good, even if the menu was pretty limited.

This review is rated poorly due to a very unethical business practice we caught in the restaurant.

We ate at Central on a Friday night, they were kind enough to accommodate my family and I a group of six at their communal table.

There was some service inconsistencies with the apps, but all in all the food was good and honestly the 22 oz steak was exceedingly good.

My issue has to do with the actual bill. The menu clearly states that a gratuity of 20% is charged for groups of 6 or more. So I accepted that.

When the bill came, the gratuity we had been charged was actually closer to 30%. 65 dollars on a 218 dollar bill. What the server had done was take the bill, add the tax and then put on a tip that allowed her to calculate backwards what was 20%. This was all done in their POS system. What this amounted to was in essence an extra 10% almost in tip.

I called someone I assumed was a manager over, who when my wife showed her the math, the lady informed us that no the tip is only supposed to be on the subtotal before tax. She went and brought a new bill and it was now a tip on the subtotal + tax (which is how their system is calibrated).

She then called the server over, because she couldn’t work out she got to the number she did. The server said oh it’s fine let them tip whatever.

No one took responsibility for this, and it’s clearly a practice that must occur on a regular basis.

My suggestion is avoid this place, however if you do decide to eat there - do check how your gratuity is being calculated.

In all my years of dining out I’ve never seen this kind of practice and I have to say, even though i don’t live in Montgomery, as a tourist coming through I would never revisit the establishment.

It’s a pretty horrible thing to see and experience when you aren’t just charged for the fine meal, and the tip, but that they are trying to trick you in to a larger tip. So beware.

We celebrated Christmas here and the food, the service, and the atmosphere were on point. After chatting with staff they helped us decide on other options which enhanced our experience. Definitely one of the best places to dine in the region. Thank you!

Given the price, I expected the food to be exceptional, but it wasn’t even good. In fact, the food was disappointing overall. The server was also quite rude, which only added to the atmosphere. This was not at all what I anticipated from this restaurant. I’ve heard the service is better at the bar, so I’d recommend coming here for drinks rather than food. Overall, I’m highly disappointed. On a high note The atmosphere was great .

Overall, this restaurant proved to be a very enjoyable place to dine, and our party left with positive impressions. The menu offers a somewhat limited selection of entrees, but each dish we ordered was skillfully presented and full of flavor, showcasing the attention given to quality and taste. Although the selection is not extensive, what they do offer is clearly well-considered, with a focus on creating a memorable dining experience through well-prepared and thoughtfully crafted meals.

The ambiance adds a lot to the appeal, with an inviting atmosphere that seems to cater to a more refined, upscale crowd. The lighting, décor, and overall setting lend themselves to a sense of sophistication, which is somewhat diminished by the choice of attire for the waitstaff. We were a bit surprised to see the servers wearing checkered shirts and jeans, which felt incongruent with the upscale impression set by the pricing and setting of the restaurant. A more formal dress code for staff would enhance the sense of refinement and elevate the experience further.

Parking was also a bit of a challenge, even on a Wednesday evening, so it's worth planning for a bit of extra time to find a spot. That said, the quality of food, combined with the overall setting, makes this a strong recommendation. In a city with few notable dining options, this establishment stands out as one of the better choices for those looking to enjoy a well-prepared meal in a welcoming environment.

A bit disappointed in the food/ drinks overall. Had a smoked old fashion and English pea ravioli.

Smoked old fashion was service with a muddled cherry and lemon... Flavor was ok considering I was expecting orange.

Ravioli was bland. With all those ingredients you would expect a amazing flavor but it fell short needing salt or acid.

Service was good at the bar.

Overall for the price, it didn't meet expectations.

We came Thursday night without a reservation but were able to be seated right away! The scallop plate was a little bland but the pork belly was the best part of the dish. The halibut stole the show! It was so flavorful and light.

The food was terrible. I don’t mind paying high prices if the food is good but it wasn’t and it was extremely expensive! The service was good and the atmosphere was nice! However, I will not pay to eat there again.
