Some of the best food I have ever eaten! My husband and I are a foodie and we absolutely loved this place. Started with the spring rolls and beef tartine (which is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tasted). The had the iceberg salad, delish! Main course was the cast iron teres major, so amazing! Yummy steak. My husband got the Sunday sauce, homemade pasta! Dessert: special was the blackberry crème brûlée and butterscotch cheesecake! We would probably drive an hour to have this meal again!! Highly recommend!!!

Central has been my Montgomery favourite for a year now, but I only remembered to write a review just now. My most recent visit was for a conference and we were wonderfully served by Brette on a Thursday night. Her moscato recommendation pretty much had us in love. We got the gochujang lamb for the appetizer and the sunday sauce + steak for the mains. The atmosphere was very warm and spacious, we’ll be back very soon! Thanks Brette for an amazing night.

Outstanding experience! My husband and I ate here recently before heading over to the MPAC for a concert. We arrived about 15 minutes before they starting seating for dinner. The bar was open so we grabbed a drink and sat in the bar area until they began seating for dinner. The customer service was exceptional! Everyone we came in contact with went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our dinner. Food was fabulous! Fried brussell sprout salad, oysters and fish special of the day which was Sea Bass. One of the best meals and overall experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. Thank you Central!

I attended a party in one of the private rooms. We had our own bar in the room and a sit down plated dinner. I've had many banquet dinners, but none as good as this one. The staff was competent and friendly and the event was well-managed.The room had a private patio/ balcony and it was great. It was a family-friendly party and the kids were able to play without bothering restaurant patrons. Everyone from 1-yr-olds to grandparents had an enjoyable time.Kid-friendliness: The room had a private patio/ balcony and it was great. This is a must visit in Montgomery! We were seated immediately and the service was outstanding! They have a good selection of beers on tap. We had the pimento cheese, wedge salad, and Spanish octopus. The pimento cheese was incredible, especially with the crackers. The house salad dressing, I’d just like to bottle that and take some home! The Spanish octopus was cooked to perfection! Not even close to overcook d and absolutely delicious. Again, this is a must go to place!

I have been here dozens of times. The food is constantly good and always updated. Last night was the crab fried rice and my friend had the chicken and dumplings. It was luck the plate good but too much to finish. My favorite place in

Such a lovely place to dine! Every time I have been it’s been a great experience. The food is what dreams are made of - especially the short rib and mile high meringue pie! The servers have always been friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The ambience is beautiful as well. I always look forward to dining here!

Came highly recommended by Montgomery's internet food reviews, but man, we must have went on a bad night.Everything was *exceedingly* oily and sugary. I get that we are in the south and it is Southern fare, but it was just too rich overall. Prices and portion size are what you would expect from a much overrated yuppie Atlanta bistro, not something in Montgomery. The staff were good and our server, Latrina, was great and as attentive as she could be with the number of servers to tables. We had the Brussel Sprouts (dripping grease and tasting more like an overly sugary candy than a vegetable dish), local fresh oysters (6 little skinny guys for $25 ?), the lamb rib, (no joke 90% fat in the ones we were served, but we heard they ran out right after so maybe it was just a bad bunch) and the duck confit, which was tasty, albeit with a laughable portion size. (two thin egg rolls and a split half roll is the whole dish ?). Looking forward to to find some hidden gems in Montgomery because this was unfortunately a miss. Please message me with any recs thanks

The food there is good, usually with a different kick or variant spice application. I loved the ambiance. It gives the vibe of an upscale restaurant without taking itself too seriously. The staff were very helpful, attentive, and respectful. While parking might be tricky in downtown Montgomery, it was worth it to dine in at central restaurant.

Erin was a very good waitress. Very knowledgeable. We had oyster sliders and duck egg rolls for APS and Sunday sauce and tere major. German chocolate donuts and lemon pie for dessert. I had Zinfandel. The only issue I had was no bread . Other than that great dining experience.

The restaurant has been great for years, but we are really enjoying the new chef's menu. Service is excellent as always!
