Just awful. I’ve lived here 9 years. It’s gotten to the point it’s just not worth going. Employees are slow and apathetic. They run out of condiments. It takes 20-30 minutes when 2 people are in front of you. And there is no sense of urgency. My fries sat for 20 minutes while my grilled order took a while. Try putting in fries while my grilled order goes in. Zero chance I go back.

Took 35 mins to get order 3 people standing staring at a screen not working. Disgraceful
Slowest Charleys I have ever been to. The staff don't and move as slow as humanly possible. Food is decent and typical of most Charleys. DO NOT go here if you have less than an hour and there are more than 5 people in front of you.
The cook/server seemed like she didn't want to take care of me or be there. When I approached Charley's she just looked at me from the far end of the counter until I said I was ready. Then she moved slowly over to the side with the cash register and said something under her breath as I ordered. She took the order of the couple behind me and started our meats & veggies on the griddle. Then she went to the back for more cheese. Meanwhile, my chicken got burned. By the time she returned with a pack of cheese, the cheese she put on my meat & veggies had melted through. She made my sandwich, checked her watch, then made the other sandwich. I will say the fries were fresh (yeah!). That said, after I put the vinegar on my fries and asked about putting their seasoned salt on them, she replied that Charley's is no longer doing that and that the shaker behind the counter was something else...The Boardwalk Fries were one of the best things about Charley's. While m fries were OK, they weren't the same. As for the sandwich, it was a disaster.
Food was okay. There was one person for lunch rush. Took 20 minutes to get a sandwich and when I got it, it was lukewarm with like warm fries. The seasoning shaker didn’t work and had knife holes punched in it in an attempt to make it work. Again NOT THE EMPLOYEES FAULT. Clearly management oversights. More staff. More attention to detain, could easily fix this store. The single employee there was curious and kind but less patient consumers would have been very perturbed.
Very fresh , just feel bad for the workers. It’s only one person at the counter most of the time.
The service was awful. The gentleman at the register was extremely rude and got my order wrong and didn’t give me a receipt. He also continued to roll his eyes at me when I was saying my order. The other staff did not care that the order was incorrect and did not want to fix even after I paid for the order. I do not recommend coming here!!!!!

Short staffed. 1 person cooking and running register during lunch hour is not good for business. The gentleman preparing lunch for customers has my respect

I had a Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries and a fountain drink. The sandwich was prepared just as I requested and was very good. I put some seasoning salt on the fries which were hot and quite tasty.

So slow
The service is very slow.
It was average. Not too impressed with the food. The Philly Cheese steak was dry and didn't have enough of the filling inside. More bread than anything
This is a convenient place to grab lunch if you find yourself on Maxwell AFB. The staff do a great job of keeping up with the lunch demands but they are understaffed for the lunch rush. If you can go after 1230 you should be good to go.
Vegetarian options: You can get an all veggie option but it is grilled on the same grill as the meat. I guess it depends on your level of vegetarianism.
Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids meal with either a sandwich or chicken strips.
Parking: This is in the base exchange so there is plenty of parking if you can get on base.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are plenty of wheelchair friendly tables and it is located on ground level with no stairs.
Recommended dishes: Philly Cheesesteak, French Fries
