If you’re looking for real Southern fried chicken in Montgomery, Clay’s is the truth! The chicken is seasoned to perfection—crispy, juicy, and full of flavor in every bite. The sides are just as good (don’t skip the mac & cheese or collard greens), and the sweet tea hits the spot. Staff is always friendly and the service is quick. This is that down-home cooking that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend!
Stopped in to grab dinner. The young lady who took our order was really nice friendly and funny. I enjoyed her demeanor. I got the 3 piece chicken combo. I chose mac n cheese and the jambalaya. I enjoyed the food mostly. Next time, I'll have them wait to give me my chicken until all the food is ready. My chicken was a lil cold after waiting for the mullet to cook fresh. I frequented the establishment for the first time today. I ordered the 2 piece catfish with a side of dirty rice. The catfish was seasoned very well and was extremely tasty. The dirty rice, not so much. It looked and tasted like the Zataran box jambalya. Overall, I give it an 8/10. I will be back.
