Great fried green tomatoes. Wonderful Cue Stew. But no cornbread. They were out.

If you want even decent bbq, dont go here. Food is bland at best and it’s not worth the price. 2 stars in case they were having a bad day and I dont want to ruin someone’s business.

Decided to stop for afternoon brunch, husband wanted Barbeque. Super friendly staff, sounds of the game was going on, Thank God it was not too noisy. Our server was friendly.

As Larry Powell, owner of Country's Barbecue, stopped by our table I said "Hey Larry, it's Friday! Where else would we be?". Mrs. Bunny and I were observing our third consecutive Friday lunch at Country's Barbecue on the Atlanta Highway in Montgomery, AL. We've been coming to Country's since before there was one in Montgomery. Mrs. Bunny had coupons to some of the burger and sandwich restaurants in close proximity to the office but none of them looked as good or appealing as the food we get at Country's. Today was Cheeseburger Day. Mrs. Bunny got a loaded Cheeseburger (this time `loaded` meant Cheese and no Bacon) with Fries plus a water and I got a loaded Bacon Cheeseburger (with Cheese AND BACON) and Potato Salad with Sweet Tea to drink. Our medium to medium-well Burgers take a few minutes to prepare but they're always fresh and hot upon delivery. With a little mayo and mustard our Burgers were dressed and ready to go. They're juicy and `messy good` and didn't cost any more than we would have spent at one of those chain burger joints. Meal total was under $20 before gratuity. I already had two helpings of Sweet Tea and when our server asked me if I wanted a `to go` Tea, I declined. I was already full of Sweet Tea and was fully hydrated. Full of Cheeseburger too. Business was brisk at lunch today but there's always a seat for you. You can smell the BBQ smoke as you approach the restaurant. I was able to return Mrs. Bunny to the office in just under the one hour of her allotted lunch break. As they say in their radio and teevee commercials... "Come on down to Country's Barbecue".

I was very disappointed with the chef salad I ordered. First off it's smaller than I remember. I had double pulled pork as my meat choices. The meat was extremely dry EXTREMELY dry as if it was leftover or not cooked fresh. The only moisture in the entire salad was the 3 pieces of sliced tomatoes and the few pickles included. It was very disappointing the meal cost 14.00 and wasn't worth 2.00 dollars and that was for the tomatoes and pickles otherwise it's total trash. If I could have given 0 stars I would. Never again will I dine here. Save your money and visit a better bbq place. This place doesn't deserve to be open at all.

If I could give this place negative stars, I absolutely would. My husband and I were driving into town from Mobile to stay with my grandparents for the weekend. As it was a long drive for us, and my grandparents are unable to drive, we ordered from their door dash delivery service. Food was fine, small portions and bland. But the real issue is that they only delivered 3 of the four meals we ordered. When my husband called to find out how to resolve, we were told that we could come and pick up our food or nothing. In other words, they would not deliver the plate we ordered and they would not refund us. Absolutely disgusted! I will NEVER come back.

I ordered a salad like I always do, and was totally disappointed. There was not enough salad mix provided for the amount that I paid. After getting home, I had to add lettuce to it just to be able to get the most out of it. I won't be returning for a long time. I feel like my money was wasted.

This is the BEST BBQ place in Montgomery. Period. You must try this place. I just hope that the financial pit of Montgomery doesn't drag it down because I love this place!

I go just for the tea. I get the food but it is just okay. Often too greasy. UPdate, food has gotten better

My favorite is always Cue Stew and cornbread. It did not disappoint! Also tried lemon ice box pie. Oh, my goodness. Gotta try this. So good!

This is a Montgomery staple, and many swear by their food. The ambience is plenty cool. It was not my favorite barbecue I have ever had, but barbecue is such a subjective subject. Like whether you are a Ford or Chevrolet man, it has to do with what your dad was. What good BBQ is to you has a lot to do with where you were raised in the South and what kind of barbecue was in that area. The best kind of barbecue is the barbecue you were raised up on. I had the pork barbecue and the beef brisket to get more of a flavor of the place. At Country's, as it is commonly called, the hickory flavor was good, and the barbecue was chopped to a good size, but it needed more black pepper, and it lacked moisture. The sauces were not all that awesome to me. One seemed to be just vinegar and mustard mixed together, another seemed to be ketchup and vinegar. Nothing else. The third had ketchup, vinegar, sugar, and red pepper. It was tolerable. All of them needed black pepper and butter. The vegetables were really good, the best part for me. The fried okra is better than Cracker Barrel's. The chicken strips look really good, and the fries were awesome. But I don't go to a barbecue place for chicken fingers and hamburgers and french fries. I go for the pork barbecue meat and maybe the brisket. And those were not the best I've ever had.

Food was ok. Staff just wasn't very nice. I tried my best to get the waitress to smile. She finally managed a smile....tea was good.
