Frenchies is a wonderful choice for a date night or even a solo dinner. The steak and fries are my go-to order, and they’re always cooked perfectly.

Fantastic! Best redfish meal! A+++
What a delightful restaurant! Pleasant/interesting music, pretty decor, excellent service and a wonderful meal. My husband and I both got the special, which was a blackened red fish dish. We both think of ourselves as fish connoisseurs, and we thought this dish was spectacular. We shared beignets for dessert and they were delicious. This was the best meal we had while visiting Montgomery, even better than Central Restaurant (which is quite good).

This charming establishment is a hidden gem! Although the menu is concise, each dish packs a flavorful punch. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a cozy night out. Be sure to try the French onion soup, homemade chips, and steak frites - they're absolute must-haves! What's more, the management team is always present, ensuring exceptional service. A notable bonus is that they're open on Monday nights, a rarity in Montgomery. Don't miss out on this delightful dining experience!

Excellent food, seasoned perfectly. Coming from south Louisiana, and it's inherent delicious seasoning it was refreshing to eat well prepared, tasty food without all the fire. My wife and I had the Coq au Vin and Flounder Noisette.
Nice, intimate setting. Not noisy, you could carry on a conversation without screaming. Excellent music at just the right level.
Excellent service to boot!

Rating based off of 2 separate visits. First off, the vibe and atmosphere are very nice, sat at bar on both visits. Bartenders are attentive. The food was mediocre. We have tried: fromage board, smoked trout dip, French onion soup, shrimp remoulade salad, salad verte, coq au vin, mac n cheese, and beignets. Inconsistent flavor, dishes were either lacking in flavor or over-salted. As for the drinks, I could tell that they were trying based on the menu, but the drinks needed double-strained. I should not choke on ice chards while drinking a martini. This place has potential but was underwhelming on both visits, especially for the price.

Frenchie's was a fun place to visit. This was the first time for my date and I to visit. We had reservations prior to a ball and the staff was very accommodating to help us stay on schedule. I enjoyed all the food but the sauteed crab claws as an appetizer where my favorite and it paired well with my old fashioned? I'm not sure how often the menu changes but there weren't many options on the menu so I suspect it changes periodically to help keep things fresh. I look forward to coming back to try new things at a later date.

This is a great place to eat and drink wine. Best mussels I've had in some time. Terrific vibe. Well done.

We walked out after waiting at the bar for 15 minutes. Pretty poor considering there was only one other customer at the bar. No one even said hello or approached us.Looks like a nice place, but we decided to go elsewhere. Do not recommend!
It was ok, not sure how it got so many 5-star reviews. My medium rare steak was WAY too rare, they didn't provide a steak knife (never in all my years have I experienced that), drinks took at least 10 minutes to arrive (both times!) and the fries are just sloshed on the plate. Oooh, french fries, never had those before. The aioli provided for the fries tasted like "lemon-downed mayonnaise". Entrees took a long time to arrive at table, that doesn't bother us but it may to some of you. French Onion soup broth had more of a "gravy vibe" that we didn't care for...but that's more a preference and can't dock a star for that. Good enough to give one more try however (maybe chef & bartender had an off night for example). Atmosphere was good, our server Sarah was phenomenal, fries were really tasty (again, how difficult is that?) and I thought the menu was nice and priced right. Our server felt so bad about our drink order she took those off our bill. So ya, try it out as it's far from terrible. 5 stars tho? I don't think so!
Ok Montgomery….check this place out. Food and atmosphere very nice.
