We randomly picked this place for a date night after our first choice turned out to be a dump. We were seated quickly, and the staff was amazing. Food was on point (the French onion is a must!). This had the exact atmosphere we were looking for, cozy, not stuffy. This is a hidden gem, and we will be back!

I’ve been 3 times in the last couple months , the atmosphere was nice enough I really wanted to give it a try. All 3 times they have been out of the ingredients for their cocktails, and out of menu items , was even told the fish was still thawing once and it wouldn’t be available , the wait staff is very inexperienced in my opinion . The bartender was amazing and it’s a cool room but the food is just ok , nothing to write home about. The food is maybe average if they have it. Won’t go back after this last experience.

The ambiance was really nice and so were the drink selections. This place is located in Old Cloverdale/Idlewild area. We sat outdoors and we had reservations.
We were greeted very promptly during prime hours. We started out with drinks and they were good and very creative. We had the appetizer of sour cream and onion chips and they were really good as far as thickness, crunch- kettle cooked is a good comparison.
The food was okay, it was average at best, although we did get a burger and fries and the croque sandwich. We didn't get special or higher end entrees.
We would go back again, the service was a highlight for us here.

Frenchies is a wonderful choice for a date night or even a solo dinner. The steak and fries are my go-to order, and they’re always cooked perfectly.
What a delightful restaurant! Pleasant/interesting music, pretty decor, excellent service and a wonderful meal. My husband and I both got the special, which was a blackened red fish dish. We both think of ourselves as fish connoisseurs, and we thought this dish was spectacular. We shared beignets for dessert and they were delicious. This was the best meal we had while visiting Montgomery, even better than Central Restaurant (which is quite good).
