Not much has changed about this place over the years- same decor, same great food, same great service. I'm perfectly okay with that.

My favorite Thai place because of the food service and good people.
Building can be better, but it adds the atmosphere of a small little gem, hidden away.

Being honest after being married to a Thai for 20 years and having been to Laos and Thailand many times eating the really food, it was terrible and made me sick. My wife tried her food ate one bite and stopped. The worst excuse for Lao-thai food in the world.

Had an amazing early dinner here and everything was delicious, hot and fresh. If we lived here it would definitely be our go to place. You can't go wrong with anything here.

Had this place for the 1st. I went inside to place my takeout order. The service was 10/10. Probably the nicest service I’ve received in a while from a restaurant. Seemed like a mom and pop establishment. The food was absolutely delicious! My ONLY complaint is that there wasn’t enough curry sauce for the meal. Most Thai restaurants give it to you in a container with lid but they plated theirs in a regular takeout box. The portion size was great, I just have enough sauce for the meal. That spring sauce has to be homemade. I’ve NEVER had any better than theirs. Will be back but will ask for more curry sauce for the meal.

We recently visited Green Papaya Lao-Thai Cuisine and had a mixed experience. The Papaya Salad was authentic and flavorful, capturing the essence of Thai cuisine. However, we were surprised by a significant price discrepancy: the menu listed the salad at $9.95, but we were charged $16.99. Although a sign indicated potential price changes due to an upcoming menu update, this difference felt excessive, especially since similar concerns have been noted in reviews from months ago. Additionally, the Thai tea tasted unusual, almost if it had been expired.
While I appreciated the authentic flavor of the Papaya Salad, the outdated menu pricing and tea quality were disappointing. I hope the restaurant updates its menu soon to reflect accurate pricing and ensures consistent quality across all items.

Review for Green Papaya

Two weeks ago, I dined at Green Papaya, hoping to enjoy authentic Thai flavors. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The dishes were excessively sweet, to the point where even the curry, a cornerstone of Thai cuisine, was overwhelmed by sugar. This imbalance completely overshadowed the authentic Thai taste we were expecting.

The portion sizes were surprisingly small, and my wife could barely eat 10% of her meal due to the overpowering sweetness. Despite the modest portions, the meal was unreasonably expensive. For two people, lunch came to $39.98, which felt excessive given the quality and quantity of the food.

Overall, the experience was far from satisfactory. While I had high hopes for this restaurant, I cannot recommend it to others seeking genuine Thai cuisine.
