First time in the city and first time here. Beautiful place inside. All the food smells wonderful, mine in particular was perfect. Ms. Lori at the bar is one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered. Highly recommend for food and a nice visit.
We LOVE going to Jan's for lunch! They have the best fried catfish and squash casserole in the area!! They post their daily meat & 3 menu on their FB page so I always check it first. Give it a try if you haven't yet!

Great service, great good, and awesome atmosphere! We ate a Jan's Beach House tonight and had a great time. The atmosphere is great, the service was quick and we were treated as family. They have a big menus and a full bar with live music.

The fried pickles were disappointing.Serving size could have been a little bigger.However, it was enough. Was able to eat desser (their chocolate cake). Cake was delicious but would've been better with vanilla ice cream. Other than that...☺️?
Food was good, service was a little slow. Lighting was low making it a little hard to see the menu. I'd go back!

I went for the first time the other night with family. It was packed as it was the weekend before Valentine's Day so I wasn't optimistic about getting seated anytime soon but the waitress said she could seat us and within 10 minutes she did. The band was great. The prices were comparable to other restaurants in town. I was surprised at the wonderful selections on the menu. When we got our meal I was even more surprised at how wonderful the seafood tasted. I had the grouper and oysters with two sides and it was the best I have had in Montgomery in a long time. My aunt had the filet mignon and she raved about it. It was topped with lump crab and shrimp that looked amazing. Dessert was a blueberry cheesecake that was homemade and melted in your mouth. The service was amazing. Our waitress checked on us often and kept our tea glasses full. I will definitely be returning and trying more selections on the menu.

Great food for starters. I am from the Gulf Coast of Texas and know good seafood, and as far as the fried shrimp crab claws oysters and grilled fish, it's definitely good. The atmosphere and hospitality were awesome. If I was going to complain about anything it would be that the band was a bit loud for dining but it was also 9pm already and everyone else was dancing and having a blast so it made up for it.
Food was good but nothing special. Took 1.5 hours to get food. Atmosphere was very beach like.

There is so much dust on the grates, beams, walls and decor. Flat soda, 100% syrup. Hard, cloudy water that coated my mouth. Expired Mayo. Burger patty was not good. Seemed microwaved from the freezer. Plastic-y cheese slices. No seasoning on anything. My stomach is churning. Friendly people, but I'm confused at the 5 star reviews.
