It's right off the road with limited outside seating. The server was very friendly & gave me suggestions for a first-timer. I ordered the ribs, sauce on the side, with potato salad & baked beans. The ribs were OK. They weren't seasoned & needed the BBQ sauce for flavor. They were a 3/5 for tenderness. It would've been a 5 if the meat was falling off the bone as soon as you picked it up. A 4 would've meant the meat fell off if you sneezed while holding it. Since I had to pull the meat off myself, & it was a lil chewy, it was a 3. So definitely not Terdernism! 🤣 The baked beans were also average. They were too sweet & one-note. I could taste neither vinegar or BBQ sauce to add brightness nor salt/pepper to add depth of flavor. But they were meatless, if that's your thing. Same issue with the potato salad. The potatoes were harder than I prefer, & all I tasted was sugar & sweet relish. No onions for bite, no mustard for balance, no seasoned salt to round out the flavor. Even the creamy mayo was drowned out by the one-dimensional sweetness. I had to go into my spice pantry at work to season my own food, & that says a lot. To be fair, the server did recommend the cole slaw, which I don't eat. It could've been toe-curlingly good, but I'll never know. 🤷🏽♀️ I still have high hopes for the banana pudding, though. They said they use plenty of bananas in it!
