They charge extra for homemade tortillas then don't give them to you. And it's not a small charge either. The servers are not familiar with the menu. You order something and they say they have never had that and you know you have ordered it there before and IT IS ON THE CURRENT MENU. This used to be the best mexican restaurant in Montgomery. Since the original owner died and the sister took over, it's just not as good. The food is still okay but also not the same quality. The workers are rude, always in a bad mood, and basically only let you order what they feel like preparing or give you whatever they want. The last time we went, my husband ordered chorizo tacos and they brought him egg tacos. He never said a word about eggs.
And the language barrier is not a problem, because my husband is mexican. We have been going to this place for years, but had backed off because of the customer service and rudeness from the servers. They know exactly what he is ordering. We have heard other people say some of the same things have happened to them at this establishment in the recent past. It's such a shame. The previous owner always made sure customer satisfaction and delicious authentic food were at the top of his priority list, but now those things seem to be at the very bottom of the list.

Out of 8 people in our group only one received the correct food they ordered. (Very Strong language barrier) Food that was received was at best average. Will definitely not be going again.

Really great spot with a fresh authentic aura. Wide parking around it and a pretty good amount of seating. I like how it didn’t lean into the Americanized tendencies others have, but stayed true to the style and flavors of Mexican food. The salsa was unique and tasty and the meals themselves were good size and tasty. Outdoor and indoor seating. This is not a fancy restaurant, more a good place to relax and get good food.

Was my first time here. I thought everything price wise was pretty reasonable for "authentic Mexican food". Ending up spending $45 for LUNCH for a small cheese dip, 1 soft taco, 1 quesadilla, and a medium margarita. The margarita they charged me $9 and then $10 for the alcohol in it. I can't justify paying $9 for margarita mix and ice to charge me an extra $10 for the liquor. The soft taco was good. The chicken in my quesadilla was cold. Next time I think I'll just stick with La Zona Rosa

It's decent enough. It's not my preference, which isn't bad, but I'd eat here again. I've just had better locally, in my opinion. it's definitely worth giving a shot. Staff is nice, and food came out in a decent amount of time.

Food was just ok. I had huevos Ranchero and the yolks was over cooked. Workers were very nice and polite...flautas were very good. Beans were authentic..

Authentic Mexican food. Cold beer, hot salsa, rich flavor, and a decent price. 10/10 would recommend if you’re interested in this style of food. They have a nice selection of different entrees.

The chicken and steak in my burrito were overcooked, very tough and chewy. Margarita was amazing. Cheese sauce was amazing. And the Pico di Gallo was the best I have ever had
