I went here a while ago... the pasta salad was the best I've ever had. This is a reminder to self to visit this week.. I definitely recommend this place.

About the only negative here is parking but that comes with being a downtown breakfast/lunch spot. Lots of locals walk over. I found nearby street parking at 12:00 so lucky, I guess. Very friendly staff, upbeat vibe spreads to the guests, potato salad and broccoli salad were great and my sandwich was the perfect club on sourdough, fresh tomato and made how I’d do it at home if I had all the fresh stuff. Delicious.

Felt welcomed and part of the family from the second we walked in. Not only was the hospitality and atmosphere amazing, the food was even better! I’m away from home and I felt like I had a home cooked meal with my family. Service was quick and I highly recommend Mama’s!

Wow! That’s all I can say! Mama’s Sack Lunches has the most incredible staff and somehow equally as incredible food. The smoked sausage breakfast sandwich is to die for, and don’t even get me started on the mouth watering hash brown casserole! The atmosphere is full of goodness and love, will absolutely be recommending Mama’s to anyone and everyone in the Montgomery area!

So glad we stumbled upon this little diner. Service, food, ambiance, and price were outstanding. My wife said the chicken salad sandwich was the perfect amount of creaminess. I had with the sack style turkey Rueben with Cajun pasta salad and Oreo delight. Outstanding. Thanks for a delicious meal! Mama's Sack Lunches was very close to I65, meter parking nearby, surrounded by so much US History, 5 minute drive away from Dr. King's home from 1954-1960.

There was not wait for lunch. Ordered at the counter and food was delivered to our table. One of us had a bowl of chili and one had grilled cheese. Chili was tasty and filling. Grilled cheese had one slice of American cheese and was underwhelming. All lunches come in sacks whether you eat in or take out. Good place for a quick lunch.

The food was okay. I could get more and a better sandwich at Publix. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and chili, which were both no different if you bought a pre-made item from a grocery store. It was uninspiring.Also, the atmosphere is extremely religious and in your face about it, which I don't mind if a business is owned by a religious person, but this was surprising and way over the top as they played religious music, too.The price was too high for the amount of food you get and the quality.
This place was a nice spot to stop for lunch.The menu selection was great and the service was super friendly.I had the chicken salad with potato salad and some tea. Refreshing meal in some hot weather.The strawberry cake was made with love and delicious.Place was popping for lunch but I was still able to sit and enjoy my meal. Reasonably priced for what it is. Would return.
