Got several of our food items wrong and 2 of us ended up not getting our meal at all and had to get things taken off our ticket. It was ridiculous. So out of five people, two of us never ended up eating more than an appetizer or small salad while we watched the rest of our group enjoy their meal. Worst experience ever. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner of this location
Don’t know if it was an off day or this was normal for this Mellow Mushroom establishment, and I know keeping the locals happy is important, but we were paying customers and I was in desperate need of food — when the kitchen burned my order, the bartender could have timely communicated with me and thereafter kept me in the loop as to what was happening. It was not a complicated order — pretzel knots. Multiple orders came out before and after being told the first order was burned — which only happened after about 35 minutes. After waiting another 15 or so with no additional communication, we cancelled the remainder (remake) of the order, paid our tab and left. Thank goodness for protein bars in the car!
Very disappointed. Pizza was good. Wings were less than average. Dip okay. Service was slow but okay. Management LACKING. First, a bug in the ice tea. Management failed to ask what was needed or desired, simply replaced the tea from same container, really? Then, another bug in the carry out tray. Really? Management failure. She looked and said something about the back door being opened and how busy she was. I did mention that I paid the $143.00 bill. I just wanted to be treated like a customer. When I suggested how most people on customer service typically responded to similar problems, I saw teary eyes and another excuse. Finally I shared that I would be posting my review she poured out the apology and offered a desert. Then, I waited another 10 minutes on the brownie and had to go to her and just look frustrated. I cannot recommend ANYONE here until Management does better. It's now how it use to be.
Neat atmosphere, clean, and customer service was great. Walked in but place a to go order which was Caesar Salad lettuce on salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was really good, also got the Great White pizza and House Special pizza. All items were delicious. Crust on pizza is fluffy and light but crispy on the bottom.
Like many businesses, service is slow but food was really good. Love the downtown area and had fun walking around after the meal. Visit for the atmosphere.
Appears to be a local hangout. With an extra-extra chill and informal attitude. We just had some ice cream and it was tasty and the portions were large but we had to wait for a long time, just as we observed the other people around us waited for their waiters for a really long time. The menu was OK. Nothing to write home about, really. The bartender was entertaining.
Great spot for pizza and beer with good friends. Beer selection was great on paper, however the waitress told us a lot of them were not available right now. And while the pizza was great, the service was mediocre at best. I'll probably come back, sure, but not after trying every other pizza joint in Montgomery.
I have been a fan of mellow mushroom pizza since they first came to Montgomery decades ago. Hadn't been to this new location and absolutely loved the colors and decor inside. It's very festive and fun. Are waiter. John was a delight. It was his first day and he did a great job. The pizza and pretzel bite appetizer with the beard pub cheese were both delicious. Was a really fun night out with one of my best friends.
We walked right in and seated quickly. Friendly and bright atmosphere. Food was fresh and good. Nothing appeared ro be pre-made. This restaurant gets onlyb4 stars because of the service and price. The waitress we had only came to the table three times....other people had to check on us and get things for the table. Price was a bit high for pizza....don't know if thus is a COVID or inflation thing or not...but a 21.00 bill for an individual pizza and coke is a bit much.
Food was delicious and service was prompt and pleasant. 4/5 because the dessert took an incredibly long time and also because my glass of water sat empty for 20+ minutes.

Great atmosphere! I wish all Mellow Mushrooms were this nice and bright! So much better than the "dive" look so many of the Mellow Mushrooms have.We had the sweetest server - I only saw her and a bar tender taking care of everyone. They did a great job! Food was wonderful and brought out by the owner! So glad that they have not succumb to the lack of staff and are providing excellent service and food. We will be back!
Great pizza in downtown Montgomery right off Commerce..highly recommend the Holy Shitake pizza..take money for meter or park in $5 parking lot next door...large pizza's are almost $30...took my dog with me and was able to eat al fresco
Horrible service. Waited a long time....over an hour for our food and when it came half of it was not right. Would not come here again.
They are very short staffed as far as servers, but the one waitress available and the person bartending were great. The low rating is for everyone else working. There was a fully staffed kitchen laughing, going slow, having a great time with plenty of disgruntled patrons. This did not make it easier for the two people actually waiting on the customers. There is a sign when you walk in that says being short staffed is the NEW pandemic. Yes there may be some truth to that but hiring people who could care less about there job seems to be the problem for this establishment.
I am staying at the hotel across the street. This pizza is delicious! Fresh toppings and nice service. When I visit Montgomery, this place will be on my list.
