I used to stop by when my grandmother was still living and get her breakfast at times. She used to love their salmon croquettes and grits! But this time, I dined in for lunch, and I got baked chicken, rice, green beans with a corn muffin, and peach cobbler. There was quite a bit of traffic on Fairview while trying to turn in around the 1pm time, so watch for that. Not many guests were in when I came, so there was no line or wait. It was clean inside, and the woman at the counter was nice.I was able to enjoy my meal at a clean table with no complaints, and the peach cobbler was delicious!!Parking: The parking lot

We came by for lunch, unplanned and the space so unassuming from the outside. And boy are we glad we didA comfortable dining area, warm friendly staff, and home style southern cooking. I got the bbq ribs, squash, lima beans, and my partner got the baked chicken, mac, and collards. Everything was delicious!

The lady fixing the plates on Monday 10/16 was just flat out rude… not helpful in anyway as far as letting me know the price and etc… only telling me what it wasn’t…I asked about a certain item I heard they had…. And she said only on Monday’s and fridays… ok cool…so I just settled for what they had that day ?…. I ordered neck bones and rice with collard greens and mashed potatoes…. I told her to add a chicken thigh and she said with an attitude “only Wednesdays and fridays”…. I said oh no ma’am I just asked for a chicken thigh to be added… then she was like “oh” ?….. so now about the food…. This was my first time at this place… I decided to go based off the reviews and honestly idk what kind of soul food these people are used too… but this place was just not it…. Idc idc idc about history or hype or any of that with this place… the only thing that mattered to me was getting some good food… and they failed miserably… the neckbones were tender and falling off the bone… had a lot of meat on them too… but we’re barely seasoned ?…. The rice… ewww… just ewwww… tasted like the 1 minute microwaveable rice that be in the little cups in the grocery store… and also lacked flavor… that was a major NO for me…. The greens… the greens the greens!!! Tasted like they just boiled them with a lil salt and vegetable oil…smh….. mashed potatoes were soupy and clearly fresh out of the BOX… there’s nothing wrong with boxed mashed potatoes..but why were they so watery? And again not seasoned…and the audacity of y’all to throw gravy over them ?‍♀️….the chicken thigh I ordered with it just didn’t even stand a chance… first bite and it was dry and tasted like left over chicken…. Quick question…. How in the world does fried chicken “taste like the pot”? anybody who knows what I mean knows what I mean… that taste that lingers on the food when a pot is half washed or half rinsed of soap…. Spit it clean out….CORN BREAD WAS PERFECT‼️‼️ BUSSIN BUSSIN… but anyways… I’m not even a difficult person and usually try not to leave terrible reviews but somebody needed to tell y’all this….Now maybe this place was jumping at a point in time…because it’s pretty popular…. But as of 10/16/23 I don’t know what changed… but never again ?️‼️ I was so disappointed

This was absolutely wonderful meal!!! Had the Hamburger Steak meal and the Ribs. I can say both were fantastic. The Ribs were falling off the bone. The squash was so good, I could of eaten that as a meal. Anyone in the area should stop and eat here!

Hometown family oriented business. Good southern food. Smiling faces greet you. Even after long days you're still pleasantly greeted and served. Food is clearly visible. I do wish that they'd have bigger pieces of fried chicken. The little pigeon wings are so small it takes 2 just to make 1 decent chicken wing. You ask for a 2nd wing your price jumps $1.25. If being cost efficient then serve 2 wings in the meal. Yes we keep it truly real with our reviews. Frequent the spot at least three times a week purchasing multiple meals. Yes I like the food. The desserts are very good. The sweet tea is so good. Pierce's is right up there with Fried Tomatoes just on a smaller scale. Recommend it highly. #repeatcustomer#Kid-friendliness: Family oriented business
