The bartender helping with my take out order was so rude and several items from my order were missing. This location has really taken a turn. The last few times the service has been very poor! Very disappointed - we use to visit often.

I changed this from a 5 star to a 3 because I tried calling to place an order 4 times and no one answered. Stopped in to place the order and no one is smiling and I literally sat there and watched 4 different people ignore the ringing phone. No wonder I had to stop and come in to place my to go order. I would have loved to do an online order but last time I did that I got there to pick it up to be told they didnt have that working.

I only give 3 stars because I did a to go order and when the lady handed me my food she never said thank you or come back to see us or have a good day. I said thank you have a good day to her and she just turned and walked away. The food is great. The service wasn't bad but just not respectful or inviting.

Love me some shrimp basket. I love the fried catfish platter, and especially when they have all-you-can-eat fried catfish which I think is on Mondays and Thursdays. Waiter staff is always on point manager always comes by and ask you how you're doing and drinks are always revealed.

Worst service ever at the Shrimp Basket. Great food as always. Service was sub par. We love The Shrimp Basket but the service today was just not up to their usual standards. Still highly recommended.

@FooDiNames —We ordered the popcorn shrimp basket, fried calamari, Cajun catfish platter, a Shirley temple, and a mermaid cocktail. Overall the service was excellent!! The atmosphere was really great with a down home welcoming feel to it. The floor was messy but we came during a party and there were random bits of paper about under the tables. The impressive be part is the food and as delivered promptly in spite of having the large party there. The food was full of flavor EXCEPT for the shrimp. What’s going on guys??!!!?? The string beans were seasoned to perfection, the calamari was obviously not fresh but not bad, the drinks were done well and much like the plating it lacked an overall professional polish. The shrimp coleslaw was advertised all throughout the menu and it was a normal nice tasting coleslaw with small shrimp added. It’s more of a soul food restaurant that serves seafood rather than the New Orleans food experience you’d expect coming here based on the menu choices and overall ambiance of the restaurant. The catfish was savory, smoky, and spicy but there was a complete and total lack of flavor in the shrimp. They have home made ranch sauce that pairs nicely enough with the shrimp to help you enjoy the meal well enough though. The smiles on everyone’s faces is uniquely welcoming like walking into your grandmothers kitchen. We’d recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area just don’t order the shrimp!

I had fried oysters. They were fried too hard and probably on old grease. My wofe ordered the red beans and rice with sausage. There were no sauages in the red beans and rice. Not only that, I ordered a bowl, they gave me two cups. This place use to be great, what happened? The girl behind the bar that helped me what was good. She had to juggle a lot. I ordered online, the website told me the order was sent. It had not been sent and I had to wait.

First visit but definitely not our last. Shrimp was delicious, slaw was awesome fries were good and sweet tea was just right. We had the most attentive waitress you could ask for.

Great waiter but the food was not good at all. This was my first time there and I wanted some gumbo but it was so salty and old. The seafood in it tasted like rubber. The waiter kept trying to help appease us but nothing was really good and we waited so long for our food that we just settled and ate it.
