The chicken was dry and Mac and cheese tasted burnt. The cabbage was delicious. Service was great and everyone was sweet. This isn't a real restaurant. It's a cafeteria style and they have tables. I'd try it again if I was in town again.

I use to come here all the time has been a while since I was there food was not good at all I chewed and swallowed definitely won't be returning for overpriced food that wasn't good the parking lot needs repair one entrance is a pond the other side full of pot holes

Atmosphere is what you would expect. The menu is why we tried it. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!! Every bite was an explosion in the mouth. Can't remember when my taste buds danced so much!
Food was great just very expensive. I got 2 dinners with 3 sides and 2 drinks and it was 55.00 some how I think we were over charged.

Simply Delish!!!! Passed through on our way from Florida going to Missouri. This place was a recommendation from Google when I searched āthe most amazing southern cooking in Montgomery.ā Google was right!! The fried chicken was flavorful and crunchy, the sides I had were broccoli and cheese, Mac & cheese and WOOOW!! The Mac n cheese ā¦. THATāS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT ABOUT!! Staff was very nice and friendly! The set up of the operation is a littleā¦ different. I felt like I was in elementary waiting in line for the cafeteria ladies to ask me what I wanted to eat. And Iām assuming food is to go? Thereās tables but no one seemed to eat there. I still give it a 5star! A definite MUST TRY!
Waited in line for about 30 mins on a late Sunday afternoon but worth it! SO GOOD!!

I visited this establishment on yesterday because while I was out it popped up in my FB. I decided to get the assortment veggie plate which was advertised as $11. When I get to the register the cashier says $15. I pay knowing thatās not what I saw on FB. When I turned around they had a large menu which the same price as $11 that was advertised on their FB post. I go back to the cashier thinking she charged me incorrectly. She directs me back to the signs at the top they have written prices subject to change. What a RIP OFF!! Thatās most definitely false advertising when I originally saw the prices online on their post that day and that was not advertised. I guess this is their way of choosing what price they will charge on any given day.
I will never return. It doesnāt cost anything to update your prices especially when you donāt have any printed menus. I could have gotten an entire meal for the price I paid for some vegetables elsewhere. Picture from their page attached nothing advertised about price increase.

Cafeteria-style - clean, and straightforward. We both ordered the Pork Chop meal with two sides (there would have been a 15-minute wait for the white meat Chicken meal I initially wanted). I got cabbage and black-eyed peas with roll, and hubby got macaroni-and-cheese and sweet potato soufflĆ© with cornbread. Then the bill came up to $35, and I wished I had splurged on the Oxtails. But at $16 each, the meals were TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE. The food was delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the best soul food either of us can remember having since our GREAT-grandmothers passed away. I have NEVER had food this good from a restaurant. I will plan trips to Montgomery for this since Iām never cooking Sunday dinner again! BTW, we ate it for lunch AND dinner that day, and had a pork chop leftover for breakfast the next morning.
