The bar offers a nice atmosphere and the service is amazing. Had to take a star (and a half) because the drinks are good, but pricing is a bit high. It is a hotel bar in the downtown area, so I suppose it is to be expected.
The exchange is very proud of their drink watering down policy. I'd say if ever there was an establishment that you should BYOB and NOT drink at, it's the Unfair-Exchange.

Im coming back to Montgomery in October, for the 6th time over 11 years, and will stay in the Renaissance. My trip would not be complete without a drink in the Exchange Bar. I'm sorry to read about the poor experiences people have had - perhaps I've just been lucky every night I go for the 5 trips I've been, or perhaps I'm not nitpicking and have a friendly and easy going manner.
