I visited The House Restaurant with a group of friends and the food was delicious and well portioned. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and maple braised Brussel sprouts. I was told by my friends that the steak dish and the shrimp and grits were also excellent. The service was good and the food was brought out in a timely manner. It was good size crowd for a Friday evening but it was not overly busy. I would visit again and recommend trying.
I visited this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, but unfortunately, it was a big letdown. While I don’t mind paying $38 for a lunch entrée, the quality was far from what I’d expect. The scallops were not fresh, the Caesar salad was drenched in dressing, and the salmon didn’t taste fresh either.
