I have filed a complaint about the Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL several times and it still does not meet my expectation of a professional business. I enjoy the tropical bowls, but wasn’t able to purchase one because no one took my order. I can clearly see 4 people working, my bad, one person working and another young girl sitting on top of the counter, looking at her cell phone and the other two were in a conversation near the drive thru. I stood there for approximately 3 minutes watching the 3 people near the drive thru. I was contemplating on whether I should clear my throat to get their attention. However, that girl sitting on top of the food counter looking at her cell phone powered my decision to never visit this Tropical Smoothie Cafe, AGAIN.

UPDATE: they showed me blurry camera footage and refuse to send me any camera footage at my point of view without a lawyer. Suspicious!! UNPROVOKED DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR. After a long day at the zoo, I wanted to get a smoothie and a quick bite to eat for my family and I. To my surprise, tropical smoothie wanted to add an extra ingredient, SALIVA ??!!! As I watched an employee make my food or food in general as there was a lot of people ordering (cars in the drive thru) unprovoked, he decided to SPIT ? in the food! ? I did NOT walk out with the food and got my refund after I witnessed that. DISGUSTING. ? I have nothing to gain as I asked for a refund (may take a couple of days to get). I was so disgusted, I had my significant other return the drinks as well because I was calling the support center while he did that. The camera footage is so blurry that it’s hard to see him spit in the food which led to the manager accusing me of falsely accusing the employee of doing what I SAW him do. I was so shocked to witness this, as I’ve only heard about stuff like this and to see it with my own eyes, truly horrific. I even saw his tongue after he spit. My intention is not to defame this establishment but to bring awareness and hold people accountable for this disgusting behavior. Here is a picture employee and it is the male in the back. My receipt says the order was placed at 6:17:28 PM on 4/7/2024 and I took the zoomed in photo at 6:20 PM after I saw him spit into the food.

The customer service here is terrible. I waited close over an hour for a wrap and chips. The worker also got my order wrong. I waited in the drive thru to pay cash and was completed neglected for in store customers who were paying with a card. This restaurant has received countless complaints and service has not improved. If you can go to another location in town please do so, this location is not up to par.

Visiting the area for a few weeks and tried this location twice. Worst service I've experienced in a long time anywhere and definitely worst Tropical Smoothie yet. Customer service nonexistent. Walked in because drive through was long and already knew it would take forever. Stood at the counter for a couple minutes before anyone even acknowledged me...with 2 people right behind the counter. Employee at the drive through window finally acknowledged and came over, even then just stood there until I spoke. Ordered 1 smoothie, took about 15 mins, and finished up with tossing my straw at me on counter.

This place has some of the worst employees I’ve ever come across. Beware of what goes in your smoothies at this location. If I could give 00 stars I would. Please if you have to eat here, be very attentive how they prepare your food. This is the second time I’ve had a bad experience at this place, I went back to see if the next visit would be better but it was actually worse.

One of the ladies took the mixer container the smoothies are made in and dumped it in the garbage can! To add she started knocking it on the garbage can to get the left over smoothie out! Rinsed the left overs out,and presumed to make me a smoothie with the container!Had the nerves to tell me to talk to the manager to get a clean container. I said I’ll let her read it on a review to help others ?nasty tale self!
