Only two people in restaurant. had to ask for my salad, got to listen to gossip from back the whole time, maybe if they focused on food and not the town gossip this could be a decent place. I honestly learned more about domestic violence and laws then my food while waiting. My husband steak was cooked the way I asked and mine the way he asked. He received a ribeye, pretty sure I got the sirloin buy ordered a ribeye. My waitress was nice but I had to ask for anything I needed. Stepped to the back and all 6 or more girls was standing around. I don't recommend and I will not be back. Took over 10nmin to get waited on and nobody even in the place. The girl who sat us was on her phone the entire time and the waitress also. Finally after we made a comment she got up. Do better.

I’m gonna say it, Captain Dave’s is the best restaurant in Moulton, AL. My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday evening and were blown away by the friendliness of the staff, how delicious everything was, and the unbeatable prices. Let me be clear, this place is a hole in the wall, but do not judge a book by its cover.
The prices were so great we had three entrees! We had the catfish bites, bang bang, shrimp, fried pork tenderloin, fries, macaroni and cheese, and onion rings for $33. All were phenomenal. 10/10 will be back and you should go if you haven’t been!

6-24-25...Better tasting food than the other two steakhouse in Moulton. We have had, the burger, hamburger steak, shrimp, bang bang shrimp, and catfish plate. They were all better than the other places and the food has always been hot. The decor isnt fancy and new but it's nice and comfortable and the people are nice too.... it is definitely a gem that the locals go to. Also, lunch is cheaper by a dollar or two but when you go to supper it's actually more food unlike the other two steakhouses in moulton..... if you got 8- 12 bucks and want better food, go to Capt Daves.
We were told to go try this place instead of western sirloin. so glad we did!! Very fast service. The food is great!!!! Staff was friendly and had great attitudes!! Definitely recommend!!!

There was stuff being delivered, and there’s a lot of coming and going right by where we were sitting. When we finally did get our food, my baked potato was not done. The atmosphere was chaotic. The young lady who waited on us was very sweet and good. But we were never offered another glass of tea, and when we told the person who checked us out that it was probably the worst experience we’ve ever had there she just said sorry. Usually, their food is wonderful, their service is great, maybe it was just a bad day for them.
