Excellent wings. I got the Rooster Hot sauce. I'm picky about my sauces in that I don't like salty. This sauce was not salty, just a ton of flavor. The Jailhouse Slaw and the Collard Greens were truly fresh and you could tell prepared with care. Service was slightly inattentive but polite and accurate. Will definitely return when I'm in the area.

I love this restaurant and knew the owner before he passed recently, and so I hate to leave an ugly review but tonight was very unpleasant for me. We ordered in the drive thru and were instructed to pull up to wait on our order (no problem), we waited almost 30 minutes for 2 simple orders and they forgot one of my sauces, so I had to get out to get it as i wasn’t in the drive thru anymore (not THAT deep but you could’ve gotten the order right with how long it took them to bring it out), to which i got accused of lying by one of the workers because he claimed he put the sauce in there but he didn’t put the right amount. It is very unprofessional to accuse a customer of straight up LYING where they can clearly hear and see you. I wasn’t trying to rip you guys off for A SAUCE CUP.

We just happened to be in Moulton and hungry. We didn’t know what we wanted and spotted John’s so we decided to try it. Ribs, chicken, catfish fillet and stuffed crabs all good. Very good service too. If we pass this way again would stop by again.

This was our first visit to John's, and it was amazing! Just wish it was a lot closer to home. This is a wonderful small restaurant. The service was wonderful. The food was fabulous. And the place is decorated beautifully. They placed a small basket of hushpuppies on the table as appetizers, and they are amazing! We ordered pork plates, which were delicious! He had onion rings and fries. The onions rings were fabulous! I did not eat any of his fries. I had a baked potato and a house salad. They were delicious. Their sweet tea was very good and sweet but not over sweet. The prices were very reasonable, given the current times.

Friendly folks but first of all that drive through needs some improvements. If you dont swing out far enough when you turn in you'll be backin up and tryin again. We had the fried catfish filets, baked beans and the mayo coleslaw which was awesome. Even if they took out the small shreds of pork from their baked beans, they are still awesome.

The food has always been good, I love their white BBQ sauce. The service is iffy, sometimes you wait awhile before anyone acknowledges you, sometimes you don't get refills, but if you know that going in you won't be disappointed. They keep it pretty clean and do their best I think. Inside is a neat mesh of decor and we personally like to sit under the boar.
Parking: Plenty of parking, can be busy with drive thru so just be careful
