The food has always been good, I love their white BBQ sauce. The service is iffy, sometimes you wait awhile before anyone acknowledges you, sometimes you don't get refills, but if you know that going in you won't be disappointed. They keep it pretty clean and do their best I think. Inside is a neat mesh of decor and we personally like to sit under the boar.
Parking: Plenty of parking, can be busy with drive thru so just be careful

Amazed at how great this place was! BBQ was moist and full of smoked flavors. Pond catfish was thick filets and lightly breaded - awesome!! The only thing that beat the reasonably priced meal was the outstanding personal service we got from Wendy. I will stop here every chance I get!! A real diamond in the rough!!!

Really good BBQ, fried oysters, and hushpuppies! Vinegar slaw is really good too! Very nice staff, friendly staff! They have catfish too!
Loved it! Ribs were delicious! Hushpuppies were awesome! The pork sandwich was so big I ate half the meat and brought a full sandwich home for dinner.

My husband and I were visiting family in Alabama. We live in Illinois. I was raised in the south and love my bbq. My husband has never been to a Bama bbq place so I found John's via Google. I'm so glad I chose Johns because they know how to do BBQ. It's your typical Alabama BBQ joint when you walk in. Decorated Alabama Crimson Tide things on the walls with some tables and booths. We got our order to go, but the staff invited us to sit and wait. They were more than accommodating asking us if we'd like a water or something else to drink! Great service, friendly folks at John's.. typical Alabama folks in my opinion! The food was wonderful to say the least.. and my husband he wanted me to mention the beans.. He said they were even better than mine.. Just saying they must be really good then... Do yourself a favor next time you're in Moulton Alabama stop in and have Johns barbecue you won't be disappointed!
I don't think any of the employees here really want to work. None of them smile or greet you. Everyone, from waiter, cashier & cooks, just didn't seem in a good mood at all. It was the same last time, but I wanted to give them another chance, in case I caught them on a bad day the first time. I guess every day is a bad day there. ?This last time, I got a large salad, which was mostly iceberg lettuce with one slice of tomato, 2 slices of a huge onion, shredded cheese, imitation bacon bits, a bunch of pickles and one small container of ranch dressing (which I didn't ask for - but they never asked me, either). I also got a half pound of pulled pork, which was actually pretty good, but the BBQ sauce tastes insanely like Sweet Baby Ray's, which I like. And, then I got a baked potato, which was huge. It has melted cheese, a dollop of sour cream and another layer of cheese & more imitation bacon bits (YUK!). I had to add lots of salt and pepper to it because it just tastes like a plain potato, even with all that cheese. I'm thinking it was some kind of imitation cheese. My son got the boneless chicken wings and loaded nachos. He said it was all okay, but definitely not the best he's had. He's much more gracious than I, lol. The last time I was here, I tried the cole slaw and it was awful. My son got the ribs & he said they were pretty dry. But, if you just want to get some pulled pork, I'd choose that over anything else.

OMG y'all! Just had lunch here. This is the BEST bbq and ribs we have ever eaten. Drove from Birmingham and was well worth it. Waitress was awesome! Will definately be back!
