Picture this: torrential rainstorm, I'm exhausted, still have over an hour drive left. Saw this little restuarant beside a wooden tower with a life-size bull and horse standing on it. HAD to try it, just out curiosity. Glad I did!! Steak was very good, cooked perfect! Potato and salad were great. Waitress kept the glass full of tea. I will return, for sure!

Came here for the first time and got a bacon cheeseburger, everything was cooked really well, and the salad bar was fully stocked and delicious. The overall atmosphere is very cozy and they make you feel like family, the staff were super nice and took good care of us!

We my wife and I had reason to be in Moulton today and stopped by this steakhouse. I assuming it was just another steakhouse, and it was. It was where the steak tasted like steak and the baked potatoes was real .the atmosphere was great the service was good. And it was good enough that I will take the 1.5 hour drive back for more. Mel's Family Steakhouse.

The server and people are very nice. The food was horrible. 12oz ribeye ordered medium , it had no flavor and was like beef jerky. Wifes steak looked and tasted like it was a microwaved old steak it took a lot just to cut thru it. The blooming onion was soggy and not one bit was crispy. We was very disappointed. $25 for a steak I expect it to atleast have some flavor. $75 total bill and leave half the food on the table. We will never go back.

This used to be my favorite steakhouse in Moulton, but after our last experience we will probably never be back. I ordered the worst sirloin I’ve ever had. I really don’t even think it was a sirloin. The baked potato was dry as heck. And my SO ordered a ribeye that was rare in the middle when he ordered it medium. It disgusted me to even look at the food.
I’m giving them 2 stars only because the waiting staff was so sweet.

Way to high for the type of place. A $10 price jump from a $25- 12oz. ribeye to $35 for a 16oz ribeye is ridiculous. Ended up just getting an appetizer and going somewhere else.
