My wife and I visited Civitas one evening for dinner and, as several other reviews mentioned, were very surprised at the sparse number of customers. I understand restaurants cannot always control the number of people that visit, however, it was a little awkward to be one of only two tables being served. Food and service were decent, but the drinks were sub-par for the price. Overall, we had a pleasant evening, but there's little about Civitas that stands out amongst the competition...
Nice little restaurant and bar in English Village. We just happened upon this place by accident and thought we'd give it a shot. The hamburgers were delicious. I highly recommend this place.
We had a 6:45 reservation on a Saturday night and was surprised to find how empty this place was. For the price point it was awkward how quiet and empty it was. The tables were not set and lacked decor. Despite the lack of busy tables, the drinks took forever to arrive. The food however did arrive promptly and was tasty! But they were out of the steak. If you are needing a last minute reservation for a large group this is the place.
