Hard to beat a bookstore coffee shop! This is a cozy little one in the middle of Crestline Village with nooks to hide everywhere. They serve Nonfiction Coffee and have a good menu including the famous breakup cookie. Spot for kids to read & draw, a 2nd story that’s always quiet, and nice little patio space. Staff has always been very nice every time I visit as well. Today just got a black coffee and flavorful.

The break up cookie is so good. They are pricey but worth it. There is a reason I don't come there often, otherwise I'd be broke fat and happy. Half dozen for $14 is a lot, but it's worth

The Chai Latte is prepped (from scratch) in house. Black tea, ginger, orange zest, Madagascar vanilla bean. Gotta try it! Go iced this summer!

Church Street Coffee and Books is a quaint, local coffee shop and book store in Crestline Village area of Mountainbrook. The coffee is good, the service is personal, and the cookies and other items are delicious. It's a great place to read and study. The setting and atmosphere are what sets it apart.

This coffee shop is consistently good. I've been here quite a few times. My go to order is the iced vanilla chai latte, today I also tried the mixed berry muffin, snickerdoodle cookie and sugar cookie. Everything I've had here is good, one of my fav spots for the chai latte. This is a small coffee shop and can get crowded fast. Parking is limited. Staff is always friendly. Definitely recommend this spot for your caffeine fix.

We were looking for a good coffee shop and my daughter remembered this shop. We have been here before. I did my usual hot mocha. I added caramel drizzle instead of the standard flavoring, since I've never tried it. I also had the banana nut muffin. Both were delicious. I do recommend this shop as it is a nice local shop located in a small strip shop.

Good coffee and great cookies. However, downstairs had the atmosphere of a study hall. Could not talk without getting glared at by people studying. Everyone else in there was on a laptop or studying something - we were the only ones trying to talk. So go there to study but not to chat!

Local all the way. Cal, Sri and the gang make this place the best. AND, the coffee and goodies are all fantastic.

So the coffee shop tour rolls on. I came here the last day of 2023 to mark another coffee shop off my bucket list, I recently started. When I arrived it was very close to them closing. There were some other patrons already inside and a few outside on the patio. All the baked goods on display looked amazing. I was told I had to try the breakup cookie , so I got one of those and a cherry scone to go. Both were delicious!!! Of course I ordered a Cortado. It was good. I have determined that my preference is not to get them TO GO. It loses some of its appeal. Overall, it was a well made drink and I enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my first time visit here and I highly recommend you checkout Church Street coffee and books in 2024!!

Fun little atmosphere. Had tea citrus tea with honey - not coffee - and it was great. Fun book selection if you're an enthusiast or looking for a gift.

Walked in here on a whim and was so pleased! I apologized for telling them what I usually get at Starbucks, but they told me not to apologize and they whipped me up something delicious and better than I get at Starbucks. Everyone was kind and friendly. Will definitely be back again when I’m in the area!
