The first time we came here I wasn’t overly pleased…the only things I could remember was the nasty okra and the “wheelchair accessible” bathroom that really isn’t. But my mom reminded me that the chicken livers were pretty good, so we came back… this time the server mentioned we could get the okra ,add fresh instead of taking what had been sitting under a lamp so we got chicken livers, fried okra and my mo got some beans and greens..,we shared the meal. And I guess...
Love Garden Gate! The rotating menu is great, my favorite days are Thursdays. Fried squash, okra and cream corn...yum! The desserts are always top notch. Recently they are serving chicken salad most days and it is delicious! Service is good as well.
I love eating at Garden Gate, and the waitresses are always so nice. The food is delicious. My only complaint is the parking spaces, several times I have had to leave due to no where to park.
Vegetarian options: Vegetable plates are always good. You always have a choice what you desire to eat on what is being served for the day. Desserts are very good also!
