Tried this place for the first time today. My only negative is not trying it sooner! Got my order quickly; it was hot and fresh and correct. My food was delicious. I ordered a combo and one of my items was the hot and spicy chicken. It was so good! I will definitely be going back again!

In they heyday of McFarland mall, this was my family's main reason to shop. Sure the little arcade was fun, going to the movies then plodding over to Shoe Station, or Goody's, but Chongwah was always delicious. When the mall started closing down I was nothing but heartbroken to hear of my favorite Chinese food to go along with it. I was more than excited when they set up their own brick and mortar restaurant. Obviously prices have gone up since the good ol' days at the mall, but the food hasn't changed. It is exactly what you expect from the cheaper end of buffet style mall food, but every entree is tasty, and you always get more food than you can eat. I mean they pile it on. If anything, I love this place for the nostalgia of eating it in the food court of a dying mall (of course right next to the gelato stand for easy access), but I always recommend it if folks want good Chinese food that doesn't leave a hole in your wallet.
