One of my favorite places that I used to eat at when in college and when it was at McFarland Mall. I would always get the Teriyaki Chicken/Hot & Spicy chicken combo. Good quick food at a good price, especially on a college budget. When it moved to Northport, it was a hard to get in and out of due to the Wal-Mart/Chic-fil-a intersection. Heard about it moving to a smaller location. Hopefully up near the Bristol Park Publix area, since we could use more food options up that way.

Tried this place for the first time today. My only negative is not trying it sooner! Got my order quickly; it was hot and fresh and correct. My food was delicious. I ordered a combo and one of my items was the hot and spicy chicken. It was so good! I will definitely be going back again!

We drive past this place very often, but never stop in. I guess because we were never really sure if they were open. We finally decided to try Chongwah for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. We took advantage of their $7.99 meal for lunch which includes one choice of meat and a side of rice. Egg rolls cost extra. I chose the sesame chicken and my husband wanted general tso's chicken...they don't sell general tso's, but they have a honey chicken, which is basically the same thing. The amount of food that you get for the price is great. We called ahead to place our order. But when I arrived for pickup, I realized that it really isn't necessary to call ahead. All of the food is already pre-cooked and kept warm on hot food tables...kind of like cafeteria style. In fact, when I walked in and gave them my name, they just prepared our two meals right then and there. So basically, you can be in and out very quickly without placing an order in advance since they only prepare certain foods ahead of time. They also have a drive through which I noticed some people using. The food won't necessarily knock your socks off (no Chinese restaurant in Tuscaloosa really does). But I think it was pretty good overall, and definitely good enough for a $7.99 lunch. I am sure we will get food from here again.
