Normally I would give it a 5 but today I was so disappointed. As I was looking at the menu, the waitress said they were only serving breakfast at that time and it would be at least 30 minutes before we could order off the lunch menu. I'm not a breakfast person but I just had minor surgery and needed something , so I ordered anyway. City Cafe has been our favorite little place for over 30 yrs. This cafe is an absolute gem! Sweet tea and dumplings are excellent! Breakfast and lunch here is incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends. The owners are great and the staff are friendly and really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome - definitely a go-to spot in the neighborhood!"
This place is a staple in any college kids diet. Home style cooking for a great price. I ate here 2-3 times a week for 5 years. Joe always chose the college kids over profits and made it known that he was trying to keep prices down to help out students. Shout out to Dennis and Becky as well. They are awesome!
