I told my friend I wanted Mexican for dinner and she took me here. And I am so happy she did, the service was great, the food amazing. I have eaten at a few Mexican restaurants in Tuscaloosa and Northport and in my opinion, Dos Amigos has been the best, from the chips to the margaritas to my fajitas. Let’s talk about the margaritas, best I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant so far.

I highly recommend Dos Amigos restaurant! The food is great as my favorite is the Alambres! But there are many others ! Service is always great and food is hot. I live on Hwy 69 south and it is well worth the ride to get there !

I’d give 5 stars, but it never fails. If I ask to sit at the bar, not a table/booth near the bar, the hostess give me attitude. One time a young man rolled his eyes and when I called him out the waiter for the attitude, he acted as if it wasn’t an issue, when clearly it was. Then today when the hostess asked if we’d like to sit at a booth and we said , “ no at the bar, please”, she proceeded to roughly hand over menus and silverware and you can go.
I’m not sure why there is such an issue with stating you want to sit at the bar. I’ve waited tables and sometimes people come in and request certain sections, it’s part of it, but for a HOSTESS to have an issue is ridiculous. Hopefully this review can be changed to 5 starts with some talk to hostesses.

I would give 0 stars if I could! Female waiter got my order wrong and instead of saying sorry let me get that corrected, she walked away from our table and never came back!! I had to go ask for the manager who wasn't in and still nothing was taken care of by anyone in that restaurant! We had to finally flag her down and make her take my food back and remove it from our ticket after she looked over at us several times and saw my plate untouched sitting on the edge of the table! I get we all have bad days but I would never treat someone like this! I worked in a Mexican restaurant myself and I always made sure my customers were well taken care of! Poor customer service including the girls up front smiling and giggling about it! Do better Dos Amigos 😡

Will never go back. We got over charged. Messed up our order. And refused to compensate for their mistake.. the food was not very good.
Drew the short straw and got a non-English-speaking server that was just promoted from bus boy. Service was slow. Food was okay.

I ordered food from Postmates. The order was to be ready at 1130 am. I arrived 10 mins early. The male host says he has no idea what I’m talking about. He called one older male waiter who checked my online receipt and says that receipt is not this store. I showed him my receipt and the menu with same address. He fumbled over himself after he felt like a complete idiot. Food was not ready. Ordered 2 shrimp cocktail that I told them no peppers. Guess what it was very spicy and tastes bad. Had nose surgery so that bite of that cocktail took my nose on a ride. Bad ride. Do not recommend this place. Complete idiots! Had to throw away the shrimp cocktails, 30 dollars down the drain. Very disappointed with the food and service. And yes
