I see reviews saying "best mex in alabama", and i cant believe they're serious. Im speaking about the location in the northside area...not authentic, and all these hyped up reviewers must only know mex food thru taco bell, which i would place higher than pastors...i think they BOIL the hamburger meat??? For nachos, they melt regular cheese, pour it on chips, then it cools and re-hardens, making one HUGE nacho...its hilarious, really.

Food was fresh and delicious! Our server was attentive and very helpful. The arroz con pollo was fantastic & the salsa was smooth with just the right amount of heat. Highly recommend!

Pastor is a true gem of our community, he is a true, humble, kind and the epitome example of what being a Christian should be. Our community is also blessed by his strong Will and devotion to helping others and giving back. All these beautiful qualities aside, his true authentic skill is creating Mexican food and excellence in everything that comes with that talent. I had Pastor’s Kitchen cater an event for me. They were on time, food was FANTASTIC! And they even set everything up! Pastor is the nicest person! I will definitely use them again!

Very slow service. Cared about serving their call in orders and let inside customers wait!!! We waited almost an hour for tacos. We were just fixing to walk out when order came. Will not be back to Pastors Kitchen. They had plenty of workers!!! Not good for a hungry 4 year old.
