German food! In Tuscaloosa? I dragged my daughter here after touring UofA. They had recently opened after moving. I asked about spaetzle as I thought I saw it on Google menus. It wasn't a lunch option, but our server said she'd ask. Great lunch. The owner came over with some home made pizza that was delightful (and free), and I got my spaetzle! Great food, great service, and an awesome spot. I will definitely come back when I'm in town.

Great food! Been here several times now and had something different each time and haven't been disappointed yet. The owner is very friendly and engaging with his guest. If you're lucky, he'll even play his accordion for you. Friendly servers...decent prices. Last time I had the brioche French toast and cappuccino.

Went for brunch, the food and coffee was delicious.Menu could use a little more info about what some of the items are, but the staff was friendly and helpful. We were in for a really fun surprise when the owner randomly played the accordion for a couple of minutes. You don’t get that anywhere else in town as far as I’m aware.

10/10! The food was delicious! We were stationed in Germany years ago and this brought us right back! Authentic German beer & food. All homemade breads that were amazing. My son's girlfriend ordered the hot mustard and they came out and asked her how spicy she wanted it because they made it to order. She said it was great! We ordered the Jagerschnitzel, Gyro plate and bratwurst with sauerkraut. The ownertended bar and also played accordion and guitar! We will definitely be back!!

Had the beef goulash. Very good! Black Forest cake, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Authentic German fare. Try the German meatloaf sandwich! The bread is homemade, the kraut salad is mild and does not overpower, and the meatloaf is spiced perfectly. Kind, friendly service.

There is no bad food at Rolf's. This is one of our favorite restaurants, recently re-opened down town. A wonderful family owned business, with great service and the best souerkraut you've ever had.

I have traveled all over and Rolf's ranks right up there within the top 5 of my favorite restaurants and is #1 when it comes to authentic German cuisine. All the beers on tap (*except for Guinness) are imported directly from Germany. The sausage's are top notch especially being farm to table. If you're looking for made from scratch food, especially German style, you can beat Rolf's.

We had the BEST time! We went for Brunch Saturday and got black forest waffle and chicken waffle. The waffles were so good, thick but light like you want them to be, with housemade whipped cream! The chicken is not fried like traditional but was still very good. We asked for hot sauce and they brought a locally made pepper sauce that was incredible. The owner and chef, Rolf, came by to see how we liked everything and was very nice but did not hover. He then played 3 songs on the accordion! What an authetic, fun experience! We will be back Thursday for dinner and open mic night!UPDATE: We went for dinner and are only more pleased! We will absolutely be regulars here. Rolf goes out of his way to make each person feel special.

Rolf's has *MOVED* from Northport-- across the river to Temerson Square in Tuscaloosa. The food is all German, very tasty and fresh, made to order. Rolf and his team are all friendly and professional. Atmosphere is cool, guitars hanging on wall for open mic every Thursday. German beer to return soon. Pretzels are made by hand. Loved the southern German potato salad-- it has a vinegar base and is served warm. Highly recommend this local small business!Kid-friendliness: My 9-year old enjoyed it. Nice space with plenty of tables, family-friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Rolf's is now at Temerson Square. There is a ramp to get from parking lot into restaurant. Rolf's is on the 1st floor.
