We went for dinner tonight when hardly anywhere else was open, and it did not disappoint! Candace and her coworkers were friendly despite the nasty weather today and having a mountain of take out orders. They got our orders perfect and it was hot and delicious. Love this location!

I was over looked to place an order, when I ask why we hadn't been waited on we where told we where sitting in the split where the service was split for two waiters! Then when we finally placed a to-go order got home and several parts of our order was missing.

I love Waffle House but this location needs to do something about pest control. I went there today with my small daughter for lunch and while we were waiting for our food a cockroach crawled onto the table. The staff that were working that day were exceptionally friendly and helpful and I'm aware that they personally aren't at fault. Whoever oversees management and operation of this location needs to hire a better exterminator and incorporate better cleaning standards for their establishment.

We went after a Friday night football game. We knew it was going to be busy, but the 6 of us were able to sit down as soon as we walked in. Did not take long for our food. The food never disappoints at this Waffle House!
Kid-friendliness: We took our little girl in here at 11:00 at night and was fine. No one was too loud or anything.

Sat down at a seat in front of cooking area, sat for more than 10 minutes, no one offered me anything, 3 or 4 waitresses standing in front of me, one finally asked if I was dining in, I said yes, that was it, no one offered to take my order. Got up and left. Went 2 miles up to next Waffle House, was greeted when I walked in, got waited on as soon as I sat down. Had my food in a few minutes. The first Waffle House needs to take lessons from them on how to treat paying customers
Good was great as usual.

*Rant & Rave*
Born and raised in Georgia…Savannah to be exact, there is a Waffle House about every 10-20 miles around the state of Georgia: that’s not hyperbole. I literally know the menu by heart. But this experience was unlike any other…ever.
I got a flat tire passing thru Tuscaloosa. I stopped at Walmart to have it repaired. While I waited for the repairs to be completed, I walked over to this little familiar looking diner. This was the first Waffle House I’ve ever visited where everyone was White.lol. Call me crazy- but I’m a 45 year old Black Man, raised in southeast GA, and I’ve never seen an ALL White Waffle House (staff & customers). So when I walked in- it seemed like time stood still. Conversations paused, I could hear forks hitting the porcelain plates, every head turned to my direction…and this place was packed. There must have been an early morning little league tournament or something because it was boomin’ busy in there. I was able to grab a seat at a bar stool when a slim woman, somewhere in her 30’s, navigated my way with an urgent haste. She leaned in and with a casual southern drawl that’ll kill any semblance of caste, she said, “Dine-in or take out, Hun?” With those simple words- she put the world of Waffle House and I at ease. The music resumed-
The conversations continued- and I had the best breakfast Alabama could offer a Georgia All-Star. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly! The way that woman made me feel at home, and communicated an air of familiarity in the atmosphere was absolutely exceptional. I certainly don’t want another flat tire anytime soon…but I’ll do breakfast, lunch, & dinner at this 5-Star Waffle House any day??
