Del Taco lands somewhere between low end Taco Bell and a chipotle. Lands right in the middle. Prices are fair. Service is proper. Definitely will be headed back as opposed to Taco Bell.

First off, I must say the negative reviews had me cautious. But needless to say, I didn't experience ANY of the issues complained about in these poor reviews.I kept it simple, only ordering 4 different tacos and they were all hot and fresh tasting. Crispy shells and lettuce, good meat-to-topping ratio, and great salsas.Staff were very friendly and on top of their responsibilities. (That kitchen was in motion, ya hear?!)Facilities were clean and stocked. (Floors, tables, sauce and drink station, restrooms)Great job, Del Taco – Opelika Team!!

My first time at this location I order 2 number 10 combos both with no tomatoes and this is what I received two burritos both with tomatoes. With a little container of tomatoes. I absolutely hate raw tomatoes and that's what I got .
First time trying Del Taco , and it was amazing . Food was great , service was fast , and I will for sure be back to try more things on the menu !

Instead of spending weeks building a sub par restaurant, next time renovate an abandoned building and the food would probably be better. WITH THE EXISTING KITCHEN. Steak doesn't look or have the texture of real steak. The strawberries in my boba drink seem dated to say the least and too big to fit thru the straw. I don't want a refund, I want the restaurant to be replaced with a better one. What a crying shame to be so new and so distasteful.

I had the 8 layer veggie burrito. Excellent. Fresh ingredients tasted great. I also tried the bean burritos on a different occasion and again, very fresh and tasty. This is a great improvement over Taco Bell which is a similar fast food Mexican choice. I'm hoping the competition will do them some good. Two lane fast food ordering and friendly employees. Del Taco has been around a long time in the west. I tried them in LA and Las Vegas. I was hoping our new local one would be of similar quality and it is.Vegetarian options: Try the 8-layer veggie burrito.

The fries were cold and tasted like they were cooked in a fryer where fish or shrimp was cooked..... ? the service was good, everything else was ok. We had to ask twice for sour cream but there guacamole is really good! I'd try again but wasn't super exciting as I thought they would be. To many people in the kitchen I understand they are new but too much chaos going on. The cashier seemed like he was high, I had to keep telling him our order repeatedly. Still needs improvement but I give then ⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall
