After hearing about a new restaurant in town, I decided to stop by for lunch one day. Once I received my food and paid I spoke with Ms. Shasta about catering a meal for my coworkers. I informed her about the stipulations and guidelines we must follow. She agreed that she can work with us with no issues. Leading up to the event, I spoke with Ms. Shasta again. This time, I reviewed the menu and told her my order for my two day event. A day later I get a call from I’m guessing the owner who’s name I can’t reccall. She basically changed the entire menu. Cool, no biggie right? We were scheduled to pick up food at 1045. My coworker arrived early and informed her that he was there for pickup and that he know he’s early so he’ll just wait around. He stated that the owner had an unpleasant attitude and was getting smart with him for no reason. She also told him that our pickup was scheduled for 11:00am (not true). Once they loaded everything up and he returned, I quickly realized she didn’t send our tea/lemonade. I called to let her know we didn’t have anything to drink. She then said that drinks weren’t included. I informed her that was not what Shasta and I agreed on. She told me to come back and she will give it to me. I decided to ride with my coworker so I can get a good look of the person he was saying being rude to him. Sure enough when we got there, she still had an attitude. Someone handed us 2 cases of sodas; sprites and cokes and we left. The food was terrible. I believe we received 2 or 3 pans of baked spaghetti. One full pan was trashed. No one wanted seconds or wanted to take the leftovers home. The next day, she sent 2 cases of Chek sodas ?. We had baked chicken (it wasn’t the best), macaroni and cheese ( delicious), dressing (delicious) and sweet potatoes. I always try to patronize small businesses but I will not be going back. Madison’s Place has lost business from us! I do not recommend.

The pictures should say enough… this place is amazing and we will be back! On our plates: Turkey leg, dressing, collards, field peas, green bean casserole, & oxtails. The staff was amazing and super friendly! They were checking on everyone making sure we were all satisfied!

Just had a wonderful fried catfish lunch here with my wife - everything was southern-spot-on: fried catfish, dense delicious hush puppies, perfect cheese grits, turnip greens, baked beans, and the best dirty rice I've ever had! We will definitely be back!
