I went in today (10/24/25) to order and the person behind the counter was very rude. I paid in cash and she put my change and receipt on the counter. I requested my money back because of her poor customer service.

Food was absolutely delicious! Fresh and so much to eat. We had some to take home. Pricing was reasonable too!

10/10! If you want the best southern fried food in Opelika, Sam’s is the place! We enjoy coming here every time. I personally love their Fried Shrimp salad.

The service was cool and the atmosphere was everything. BUT the food was good except I felt like the family portion I ordered wasn't enough for my family. I felt cheated but the food 10/10.

The fish and shrimp are delicious. Everyone working there is friendly and eager to assist customers. They have a variety of food, including gumbo.

Today, my wife and two sisters stopped by to give this place a try. I was impressed with the broad and varied menu and we each ordered something different. The service was fast and served hot straight from the fryer and the grill. Everything was fresh and plentiful. It was served in to go boxes and for dining in I would have preferred to have it as a typical sit down meal served with actual plates and utensils. However with the large portion, it saved time having to wait on a to go box, as it was already in one! I will definitely make many more return trips and can’t wait to try some of the other menu items available. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10.

I've never had tilapia prepared like this. The seasoning and dipping sauce are great. The portions are well worth the price...and this restaurant is really not that expensive for a somewhat home cooked meal.

This place is fantastic. Everything we had was amazing. The chicken wipes were breaded, fried and served with a side of hot sauce. With or without the sauce these may be the best wings I have ever had. The grilled tilapia was served with grilled onions, bell peppers and a couple if shrimp. s extremely good as well. The meals come with two sides. We had the coleslaw and green beans. The prices were outstanding, great value.
